He was a fantastic servant to the club, incredible manager and by all accounts a bloody nice bloke as well.

RIP Bob

RIP Bob - Gentleman of the sport but reading Ian Rushs book and Thomos the man could be as ruthless as the next . Wasnt going to even take the job until the players persuaded him to take it . Also helped kenny when he got the job as manager . Always be the greatest ever Manager even in britian in my eyes - 19 Trophies in 10 years - no one will come close to that .

Bob didn't need to be knighted for everyone to know how good he was, save that for people who are insecure with themselves. I had the pleasure of meeting Bob back in 84 at Anfield. I have never met a nicer person (apart from the Mrs if shes reading this).

RIP Bob, a true legend.
From Shankly to Brendan we follow our team, Rome to Istanbul we've all lived the dream. Our journey is long, our goal stays the same, to keep for our children the famous red name.

The greatest, end of. 19 trophies in 9 years.

He also showed ruthlessness by selling Kevin Keegan and bringing in Kenny Dalglish. The rest is history. :bowdown
