Stu Averill, a wannabe Scouse/Scot. I remember the good times & have faith in them comin back

You have to laugh though, look at what spain can boast, 2 quality keepers in Cassilas and Reina, we have James and (insert whoever here !)

Spain have Iniesta, Alonso, Xavi, we have Lampard, Beckham and Carrick.

Spain have Villa and Torres we have Heskey and Carlton Cole
The futures looking good for England bloody hell !

To be fair we also have Rooney and Walcott who are both great players. owen too if he can stay fit.

You forgot the best English (Scouse) midfielder, Gerrard. Beckham is quality if I have to be honest. The problem of England is the keeper and that without Rooney there are not quality alternatives.

But without injuries and Rooney and a better keeper? I wouldn't like to face them in the world cup.

Must be fustrating for Pepe to know he is one of the best keepers in the world but still isn't first choice for Spain.

But for England id say by the next world cup we should try to involve Hart or Kirkland more. tbh I don't even know if he is fit.

Anyway it's all over.....

Yay. Come home lads. :)

My point sticking though, its not looking good is it? we have possibly the best midfielder in the world constantly covering that fat w@nker when he plays or is played out of position and rooney, even when fit hasnt been at his best for years so like I say, its not looking good, we dont have the quality in depth that spain do.

Happy with that, no obvious injuries and a defeat for the english. Happy days.

It's over, no injuries, England still has more victories in our mutual encounters, good match of Spain, good effort of England specially without the ball, they missed the injured and self removed players.

That problem is well documented. Rick Parry was in the paper today saying the FA or whoever had collectivley agreed something needs to be done in regards to a quota for home grown players, but no numbers yet.

I think we will always have just about enough decent players to fill a 1st team but not enough for strength in depth which is what Spain have. I guess the youth system over here is set up wrong or something.

ive just said the same thing to my mate. Reina is better than any keeper England can boast and he isnt even first choice. the quality in this countries squad is shocking when compared with theirs
