Anyone see the penalty Ireland got. F*cking hell, never a pen in a million years. One of the worst decisions I've ever seen. The ref must have had a granny that drank a pint of Guinness.

Just for the sake of curiosity, do members of newkit rate Heskey more than Crouch? ???

I don't.

Heskey is :censored:.  Seriously.  Crouch is two times the player he is imo, never understood people wanting him really.

I think Crouch is the better player, but Heskey has that slightly more "explosive" edge to him. Crouch probably gives away more free kicks at international level than he ought to (sometimes through no real fault of his own) and that may explain Capello's preference. My guess is though that Heskey works the full backs harder when their in posession, is a better presser.

Crouch would offer more goal threat I think, but the type of goals he scores are scored less at International level than they are in the Premiership. In truth, neither are really International footballers and I can totally understand Capello wanting to give an extended try to Agbonlahor. If O' Neill can keep educating him and continue his improvement, the spot could well be his.

Wasnt crouch kinda earmarked by refs before some tournament a while back, as exposed by graham poll, due to how he uses those 6' long arms to propel himself as he jumps?
