And if you will read up to what i have said before mick i left out your favourite maureen by accident - it wasnt on purpose it was an accident and if i could edit the poll the everyones favourite manager maureen would be in it so you can all vote for him then .

And you are constantly praising him for his record yet critizing our own manager yet rafa has a pretty special record of his own .

Also lets remember maureens last season where his chelsea team couldnt compete against the man utd despite paying out even more money on players and won nothing and a Rafa led team knocked them out of the champs league.

I'm not "constantly praising" anyone. I started a thread in Premiership general discussion where I asked the question is he a magician or a myth. In there, I've set out his record for all to see. I don't think I've sugar coated it, I've included the defeat in the Super Cup final to AC Milan, the Portuguese Cup final defeat to Benfica etc etc.

Why you are looking to croiss thread is a mystery to me. In that thread you've done nothing but try and talk about Rafa, when the thread is nothing to do with our manager. This thread is nothing to do with our manager either, it's supposed to be about who people would want if he left isn't it? Why not stick to the subject in hand. If you want to discuss Mourinho and his record, go into the appropriate thread. If you want to discuss Rafa, there's a hundred threads.

Given this is a poll though about who should replace Rafa (started by you I might add) it seems a bit strange that you're now having a go at me about speculating re Rafa's future, and comparing him to other managers. I haven't even voted.

I just don't understand where people are coming from sometimes I really don't.

As much stick that has been aimed at the thread I can see the point in it.

All it does for me is highlight the fact that if Rafa was to go we would be left with what I consider to be a step down of a manager. I love Rafa, yes he is frustrating but one thing's for certain - he loves this club and he's shown that over the years, the most memorable when he touched the This Is Anfield sign with both hands before the Porto game last year. Rafa stays :)

errr yeah. that is right, Paul Jewell.  given charge of a 'top 4' team with the quality of players we have I reckon he could really do a good job.

The guy has not really proven himself as a manager who would be able to take a top 4 club - has done ok with smaller clubs but has also not done so well with smaller clubs .

he's not had much to go on though, when he first  took charge at Bradford I said to my mate 'I can see a future Liverpool manager in the making here'. I just took a liking to him.

he needs a shot at it though, a big club.

No big club will ever give him a shot - they all want proven winners . jewell has done ok at bradford and wigan but totally bombed at sheff wed and derby . he will always manage those sort of clubs .
