EVERTON VS LIVERPOOL - F.a cup replay

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Poor Rafa, he says something completely true and people are thinking that he's loosing it.  I will completely understand, if he goes to some other big club in the summer.  Rafa deserves so much better than this.

"Take responsibility for" might be a better phrase than "take the blame for"?
If we win its Rafa technical nous and tactical genius. If we lose its the "rub of the green" and "unforseen circumstances".
Some want it both ways

Or there is the old adage of if we win its the players who get the credit - if we loose its the managers fault .

Seen that on here plenty this season .

If the players play badly, the manager has to try something. Rafa's lack of ability to change it is the reason he gets so much blame/stick/grief. If the players are playing well can you give Rafa credit for playing the same players plus one or two changes? Credit if he brings in Benayoun say, and he has a great game. But since it's usually GERRARD dragging us single-handed over the winning line can you credit Benitez for picking his best player?!?!?!?

As for Gerrard's injury. Well I don't blame Rafa for picking Gerrard or overuse, since we had a quiet January fixture-wise. I do blame Rafa for it going to a replay and if we'd won it first time of asking as we should have, then we wouldn't be without him for two games as he wouldn't have been playing midweek
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer

Yes poor Rafa, with so many nasty people around :sniffle .  You lot make me laugh, on one hand you laud rafa for being stubborn and strong and always sticking to his guns, the next moment we are expected to believe that he is swayed by what some fans say, come on!

FFS It's absolutely hilarious and pathetic and definiely a Houllier in the last few months moment.  :D

Rafa has no choice but to play Gerrard every game, the reason for that is that in 5 years he has not been able to bring in any players even near to Stevie's creativity in midfield, instead we have a Spaniard who can deliver an excellent pass but is told to stay put mostly in his own half, an Argentinian who redefines the word defensive even for DM and a Brazilian, or his he??

Don't agree - that's just fkn sour grapes - £ for £ Moyes has done a far better job than Rafa. How much did Jags and Cahill cost - half the price of Bel for the two of them - that's how much - give me one example of similar success at low price purchases for Rafa. I know I'm sounding like a blue and I have a bucket in front me because I'm feeling fkn sick but for gawds sake give credit where it is due.

??? Wasn't Skyrtel our most expensive defensive signing ever

As to who I would buy, I'm not sure but if you gave me Rafa's wages and network of scouts etc I'm sure I could find some who were better than Kuyt, Dossena and Lucas for example.

My point about Alonso and Mascha is that they are excellent players but given negative instructions from Rafa to be far too defensive.
