The problem is if we sell the club, how do you know the next lot of owners won't have the same money making agenda? If you buy a club for several hundred million you can't really be shot down for wanting to reclaim your investment money and make a profit. Liverpool football club is seen by wealthy businessmen as a money making potential or a means to squander money. Those who believe we are going to have owners who care about the fans feelings or views of their club are sadly mistaken. I doubt when Sir Alan Sugar was running Spurs he did so with the sentiment of "appeasing Spurs fans" he wanted to build a successful club and add to his business portfolio.

Well for starters you should sell to someone whose money is not all tied up in other assets. But I guess David Moores forgot that bit. And yes of course they expect a return, but once they own a club their only jobs should be to provide money for running the club and staying behind the scenes. Not sounding our other managers and making the club a laughing stock. And Sir Alan Sugar made some daft decisions in his time at Spurs too like hiring that Swiss manager Christian Gross.

Realistically not many people can afford to buy a club outright and my gripe with them was the fact they lied about no debt being placed on the club. However, United have debt and yet they are able to sign the likes of Berbatov for thirty million, Carrick for eighteen million, Anderson and Nani for seventeen million and challenge on all fronts, being English, European and World Champions. I do agree that they should stay behind the scenes, but when Rafa throws his toys out of the pram about a contract or not having absolute power over Liverpool, he is effectively forcing their hand. If they do not come out and squash rumours then fans start asking question and start demanding answers. They're in a no win, no win situation.

The defence of rafa by some posters on here beggars belief sometimes. If anyone thinks rafa doesn't lie I refer you to any of his post match interviews. :D  he even said once "kuyt is always likely to get you a goal".

I think gillett come across quite well and as he says the club accounts will back him on a few issues

Not like you to have a pop at Kuyt.

Did he bum yer bird or something lerd ?

he tried but missed

:D

he stuck it in her armpit
