Try living in Crosby's hometown, mate.  Never hear the end of it when it comes to that lad. :no

What EXACTLY happens, apart from a lot of stoppages and sexy birds bouncing around in next-to-nothing? :D

It's basically rugby with 10 square feet of padding and slightly more camp and convoluted affair.

around the turn of the century, American football looked a lot like rugby only more barbaric and with 50 players a side. People kept dying though, and president Teddy Roosevelt threatened to make it illegal so the rules had to change, and have been changing ever since to make the game "safer" and by safer I mean don't die during matches. Former players still have lots of long term brain effects from concussions.

not a good start by the Cardinals Defense, but that was a huge recovery job to hold the Steelers to 3 points.

Tried to watch this, but had to stop after 10 minutes for fear of slipping into a coma.

i made it to half-time before I hit the sack. Gutted coz i would have watched the whole game if i'd known my college was gonna get shut down due to the snow today! Just got back from a ski-trip last week and my back garden looks no different to the Dolomites!

Why do the media try to make out that people over here are interested?

It is an American game for Americans. Practically nobody else cares.

It isn't as :censored: as baseball though.

Great game but I didn't want the Steelers to win, I was a neutral so doesn't really matter but Cardinals should have won!!  That dumb interception before the half completely blew it can't believe they let that LB go all the way..

game reminded me a lot of the Athens Champions League Final.  THought the Cardinals outplayed the Steelers, but one flukey play before halftime was too much to overcome

You're underestimating the popularity of the game over here. I went to the game at Wembley earlier this year and it sold out VERY quickly plus i've managed to reserve tickets for next year's game through the Wembley supporters club. You can guarantee it will be a sell-out again next year. there is still a very strong club scen throughout the country plus it has been a popular sport in the universities for many years now. If people in this country can watch 5 days of test cricket with it's stops, starts and no guarantees of a positive result then they can sure as hell enjoy 3 hours of American Football.

Gutted for the Cards, I usually route for the AFC (as a long suffering Raider fan) but I was cheering on the underdog this time around.
