no need to embarrass yourselves in here, i will accept apologies via pm

:D

That's fair enough because if we won the league, first I'd celebrate, and the very first post I'd make after the celebration would be a request so that you make another glorious letter to Rafa, like the one after he won the Champions League.

So, I can take the stick now :D

But, like the English say, it's not over until the fat woman sings or something, so perhaps this taking the píss is a bit early.  :p

Jokes and banter aside, I think I'll avoid Rafa defending from now on. What's the point? those are topics in which no matter how eloquent you are you won't convince anybody if they're already convinced. So no hot defences from me, that is, discuss matches, players, systems and substitution yes, but no defending new contracts or defending the man, it would only yield to endless discussions.

Let's see what happens. Considering Rafa's credit was very damaged last May, not only for some fans, but also for the Americans who were looking for replacements, I don't think Rafa will have much time in the club if the things at the league table start to look really ugly.

If whoever comes next makes a better job than Rafa I'll be the first to be happy. I hope you're all right about that certainty of a better future with another manager.

I wasn't banned so free to come and go as I please and just laughing at ciggy going from a 700 quid loss to a 400 quid loss in 2 posts. :D

Being right on rafa is like being employee of the week at mcdonalds, a loser and a winner at the same time.  :D

Anyway I find it funny how some of you gave me stick and now are saying you hope we get beat in CL. :D

Feel free to keep abusing me if it makes you feel better about yourselves. :D

Liverpool need a game like Chelsea to raise our game, Benitez looked deflated tonight and completely devoid of relevant answers ,but I still think Rafa would have been hailed a success if Benayoun had won the game tonight ,to many players are looking lacklustre even Torres ,plus everyones insistence that Riera should have played need to watch his performances of late ,Babel is I agree a liability but Riera seems reluctant to go past players lately and this hasnt gone unnoticed by Rafa .
I seriously think its the players that are are bottling it ,you cant keep blaming Rafa Benitez .
No players apart from Gerrard and Carragher want that title as much as they do ,and sadly its starting to show

If rafa just stopped making bewildering decisions then he would have more defenders of him and people looking at the players as to who is at fault. Rafa does himself no favours at all either with team selections or substitutions and his man management isnt the best either. Like I said before, should he sign a new contract I dont think I could bear Rafas style for much longer. When the most ardent supporters are questioning his tactics, when even the "experts" cant figure out any kind of point to his decisions, and it affects the team in a negative way, even the most loyal supporter can run out of patience.

Only if rafa had the same mentality!
We had a lot of draws last season which eventually cost us and we've drawn too much again this season. Looking at the current table, we only lost one but two points behind Man U who have lost two and have a game in hand, level the points with Chelsea who have lost three. It's the draws that cost us again. Sometimes I'd rather us to win one and lose one than draw two, which will give us at least one more point.

I watch Rafa most weeks living every arduous minute for Liverpool Football Club and then seeing his team switch off in the closing minutes of a game ,if a player cant keep himself switched on for 90 mins plus then he has no place in this team alongside  players of the calibre of Gerrard and Carragher ,who will risk personal injury to hurl themselves into tackles .
Blaming Rafa for a lack of heart is starting to wear thin even Ferguson makes bad selections only his players gloss over his tactical ineptitude by giving 110% every game and playing till the very last second of the game ,until Liverpool employ and utilise players that never switch off and will do anything to win then we won't even run a close second .
If you need scapegoats don't blame Benitez that just smacks of being to easy ,look closer to home (like on the pitch)
