Yes, theoretically we are still in the race, and I did believe we still had a chance for the title and kept saying to myself keeping the faith until tonight.

I agree most of what you have said, mick. I have faith in the ability of our team to achieve the challenge, I still do, but the problem now is, I don't have faith in the ability of rafa to do that. It's really gutted to think that you have a quality squad who can challenge for the title and who had the best chance at the start of this season and who are still capable of doing it IF under the proper management But it seems that we lost that crucial IF. :(

So theoretically I still have hope in my heart, but practically I'm in serious doubt now.

I just cannot see us beating Chelsea on Sunday. We were damn lucky with Alsonso's deflected goal last time out, but our luck has well and truly deserted us big time.

If we defend like we did last time against the Chavs and manage a draw, we'll be doing well. But I think that it's completely over now for a title attempt. Not that I didn't suspect that about 9 games ago.

We REALLY are now relying on the others to screw up. But if Rafa is going to continue to employ his absurd subbing nonsense, even that won't help us.

My marrigae is on the rocks because of them my holiday has set us back 400 quid because of them.

I look like sh!t with blue bags under my eyes because of them maybe its time I cared less about them :glare:

It maybe time I pour my attention to my family instead of them I used to be a Liverpool wife and hated it I am beginning to know how that feels and its not fair.

No offense Cig but you shouldn't put this team ahead of your personal life/family no matter what the circumstances are.

Who's saying that?

In fact, since when has anyone who has been pro Rafa ever said he wasn't fallible or prone to ill judgment. He is a man after all, and all men make mistakes regardless if they are genius or not. That is not for you to  say or dismiss outright in the first place. Makes you sound like a right pompous and arrogant so-and-so, which is ironic.

Benitez has gotten it right more times than he's gotten it wrong IMO. Today he got it horrendously wrong, so much so, that even his most ardent followers can't defend him. Regardless, I myself, though critical, still can't bring myself to resort to besmirching the man's name because he deserves more than that no matter what anyone thinks or says, that is IMO of course.

If I am honest, I thought we were lucky in the first half of the season. Two own goals (Mancs and Middlesbro) when we were losing, two sendings off (Citeh and Wigan) when we were losing, but I thought we EARNED our luck to a certain extent. The last few games I thought we were unlucky, but thought we didn't do enough to try to change things, while tonight I thought we had done more than enough to win, but when things start to go against you its hard to turn things around again.

We need to go for it in EVERY game from now on, draws are no use to us anymore, and I would rather finish 5th going for the title than finish fourth or even 3rd and accept that that's the best we can do.

Shame that your first engagement ended cause of that, I would think the majority of us would love someone that they could enjoy the games with together.  Someone that actually understood it too I imagine most of us attempt talk to our birds is it? about footie only to feel like you're talking to a doll or something with programmed responses.

Maybe that's just me though, I'm American after all. :D
