Liverpool Star Set For Everton Loan
As David Moyes carries on the search for new strikers to sign on loan, the latest name to come up is Liverpool's Robbie Keane...
Reports suggest that Everton are set to take Robbie Keane on loan for the remainder of the season from Liverpool.

The news will hit Toffees' fans hard as the Ireland international striker has struggled to settle into his new home following his £20 million move from Tottenham Hotspur last summer.

The deal that has reportedly been offered to Everton is that they will take Keane on loan until the season finishes but the Reds will still pay the Irishman's wages.

An independent Everton fan's forum has reported that Toffee's boss David Moyes is on the lookout for more loan signings, and has also said that Keane has been offered to Everton on loan.

The 28-year-old has been left out of several squads by Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez, and has only made 17 Premier League appearances this season, most of which have been as a substitute and the former Spurs man has managed to score five goals during that span.

Moyes has also been looking at Lokomotiv striker Peter Odemwingie. The Nigerian, who has been continually linked with the Liverpool-based side for the last year or so, could finally make the move to Goodison Park, possibly in a loan deal from the Russian Premier League side.
                           -------------------------------

   How the hell they dream them up god only knows :D

Its be shocking if he did go there on loan.

My personal view is not in million years.

If he is true red.

i would not be shocked if Keane askes to move on.

I also feel that the next 2 weeks it make or break for Rafa, if we go out of the cup and man u get a few points up on us the i think its going to be very hard times for him.

So is that right that a player should walk out if the manager decides he doesn't want to play him?.

Is it just me or isn't that what the manager gets payed to do in making decision? and whether or not the player agree with it he should never walk out.

It is totally wrong if keane did walk out - doesnt matter what beef he has or what has happened he should still be professional enough to deal with the managers descion .

He didn't walk out he wasn't selected in the squad and therfore he didn't come to the stadium to watch the match

I guess most of us our just guessing about what actually went on between them both .

Personaly I think if Keane isn't getting picked for the team there is a major personality clash with him and Rafa,I think Keane thought he would be like Gerrard and would be given the right to play every game and if he did get dropped he would show his dissaproval in front of the fans when getting subbed and would get his own way.

The only problem is Gerrard is world class and Keane isn't even pub team class at the moment

(still i suppose he is above Kuyt who is in the headless chicken class)

well if keane did think along those lines then he is thinking very wrong - only 4 players should get 100% picked every time - pepe , carra , gerrard and torres - would add a on form masher and xabi as well .

i like the way its full on incorrect rubbish about keane mainly being used as a sub when in fact he has started most of his games just been taken off a lot .

Rafa needs to sort it and quickly. Last eighteen games we may have only lost twice, but EIGHT draws ain't good enough

2008/09 All Competitions

Games 1-16 : P16 W12 D4 L0 (Won 75.00%)
Games 17-34 : P18 W8 D8 L2 (Won 44.44%)

We're on a run of 14 unbeaten, but half of those are draws. We won't win jackshit by drawing as often as we are. And what happened to focusing on the league? Looked like our best side yesterday, maybe with the exception of starters Dossena and Babel

Robbie Keane's future at Liverpool has been cast in fresh jeopardy after the Irishman was described as 'boycotting' their FA Cup tie with Everton.

Having been omitted from the Liverpool squad, Keane was conspicuous by his absence as he stayed away from Anfield on Sunday. While the striker was under no obligation to attend, his absence has only fuelled speculation that he could leave Anfield just months after his £20.3m transfer from Tottenham.

Pressed to explain Keane's omission, Rafa Benitez would only confirm that "he was not we have a very good squad. He was not injured.

"He is working hard and that is the most important thing for me. I have not seen him but it is normal for every player to want to be in the squad."

Instead of Keane, Benitez selected rookie striker David Ngog to take a place on the bench, explaining that "Ngog was in because he scored two goals for the reserves."

the two reports that are going about are.

Keane was told by Sammy in the morning that he was not in the team and he did not leave his house, the other is.

at 2pm at the ground Sammy told Keane he was not in the team, keane tried to see Rafa and started to shout at a closed door he was told rafa was behind, he then tried to get into his car but a policeman would not let him drive in that state of mind, just befoe kick off keane left the ground and headed for home.

the first one seem to be the more real one, the other one is the one that the radi started to report just before the game.

Them rumours are rubbish we all knew the team on saturday for starters and keane wasnt even on the team bus he was no where near Anfield yesterday.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.
