i think he would be very cheap, 1m - 2.5 tops as it is his last year. Newcastle may aswell except that because if he's not in there plans and this is his last season it would be in there interest to cash in now.

I dont believe this will happen though.

It's also imperative that we qualify for next years CL as well, Shearer would be good for one year i think.

However, as much as I would love to see him playing at Anfield (rub Fergies nose in it a bit more), don't think it's going to happen.

Cant believe this story is doing the rounds again! Shearer's time to move to Liverpool must have been around nearly 10 years ago but its a topic for discussion now??? Pull yourselves together people!

Probably just another rumour but I have a m8 in newcastle hes a mad toon fan he told me last night shearer will be no longer playin for them come friday :;):

He said rumours are rife up there that shearer is coming to us dont quote me as i said its just a rumour ok

i think shearer would make a big impact but do we want someone that is only going to be here for a year or would he stay playing longer in a team that makes it in to the champ l

I don't think he is Raffa's type of player. He would not be a good counter attack player. He slows the ball too much. Not enough skill.

think he would have to lose his ego a lot but if he is up to it i think he could fit in would have to prove himself to have some liverpool fight in him though and not n/u which he has always said is in his blood

Could end up like another Riedle...a great player but joining us too late as his career is winding down.

However, I do think it would be ironic if Shearer does join us because Owen would probabaly have loved to have renewed his partnership with him.
