What kind of price tag do you think the leprechaun would put on him bearing in mind he screwed us for £11m for Heskey, he rates Carew and he talks about Ashley Young in comparisons with Messi and mooted a value of £30m on him? ie sells dear, buys cheap.

Didnt he score about 24 goals for Valencia and Rafa shipped him off at the end of the season? :D
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

He's a very good player but needs good motivation and good crosses both of which he won't get from Rafa.

What's that in MON money? Where you add on a lot just because.

Don't forget we tried to buy a big purple dinosaur  :D off villa and they rated a £9m-£12m player at £18m+ I know Carew isn't English so the rule of 50% add ons doesn't necessarily apply, but clearly MON is somewhat confused when it comes to numbers.

Which wing does he play on?  :D

I doubt he'd get great supply from Riera, Kuyt, Benayoun, Babel or whoever gets lumped on the wings to cross. I'd not be surprised if he came, didn't score many and was played out of position - not that that ever happens......................

I'd rather Cordoza from Benfica
Mario Gomez from Stutgart
or even Benzema (if this Kuwaitie mob takeover)

Might as well do it properly if we want a target man.

yeah all good players mate - but i was thinking along the lines of for the rest of the season and at a cheapish price as opposed to the millions required for the others and gomez ?! he seems to have gone very bad since the euros .

I don't profess to watch Gomez on a weekly basis in fact I haven't seen him since his dispointing Euro's but I thought he was doing reasonably well this season.

I just don't see the point in signing "ok" players that are around 30 Y/O. He isn't getting any better and I don't think he will bring us a league title.

The players I mentioned are all young and ready to make a step up IMO. I think we're better off holding out for a good target man than settling for someone that can do the job. He's solid but we are Liverpool and solid isn't good enough.

the problem is Dan - Money - at this moment in time we dont have any to spend hence why i think carew would be a viable option .

But it could be a band aid fix that could help us get some very crucial points why we are fighting for the title .
