Then just then we might stand a chance.

You don't win the prem with Facts and draws and thats a FACT !

You don't have to be on top of the table all the season to be league champion.

You can't expect to have a season without some bad weeks.

We have missed our best striker.

He's going to be available now.

We have quality players. A lots of things can happen. You could be beaten by Real Madrid in the CL and that become a bless for the latest months of the season. We've seen everything happening in football. If prediction was easy people would make easy money on football betting.

I can't understand how you're so determined to think we won't be competing for the title. Because if with injuries and problems to beat teams at home, we're there close, then saying we can't win the league is saying you don't trust whatsoever this players and the managers.  If we're close to top, and we have problems, then the teams that have similar points to us must have their own problems. Either that, or they're not that good.

Even if you don't trust the manager, surely you can expect that he'll correct some of the current problems of the team. Will you acknowledge that if Torres plays his best that could be mean a lot of points? Are you so sure we don't have a chance?

There's a lot of uncertainty in football. So that's why you have to believe a bit so that you help things happen.

That the way rafa manages guys. He wins his leagues with plenty of draws and hoping that the others play absolutely shyte.

But do we want that ?

I don't wanna win elague with boring football ! where is the enjoyment with that ?

32 weeks of :censored: football for 20 weeks of joy no thanks !

I rather us get a top attacking coach that buys players to play week in week out and if he needs dog bodys to fill in just get cleaver loans.

Its not hard to play a team week in week out its just hard having the bottle to trust your players and rafa don't trust his players.

In fact i say he does his best to suck the confidence out of them.

You all know what i meen EG keane scores 2 rafa drops him , babel has a great game doesn't play agian for 8 matchs.

Its a joke it really is where is the logic ?

To boot his bum boy kuyt gets a start every week just cos he jumps through hoops for rafa in training just angry atm with rafa i really am.

Can you tell ?  :D

It's tough coz the minute you dare to believe (which I have) it makes every dropped point all the more precious. When Cahil scored the other night that was by far the worst I have felt this season and I've stopped believing out of self-protection more than anything else. I couldn't stop thinking about the result when I went to bed on Monday night, it was like it had scarred my brain! Now I've always been a slave to the game but it's getting stupid when drawing a game completely ruins my weekend. I do agree with Sabre though, it's a long season and anything can happen, the mancs are struggling with injuries and despite what some people think, they aren't playing especially well. It's up to us to stay in touch now, i've said a few times that I didn't think we would make very good front-runners and that seems to be the case. If we can keep within 3-4 points as we reach the stretch we'll have a chance. Things are very flat right now and i can fully understand people's frustrations with the manager (I share most of them) but the Chelsea game in 10 days could be another BIG momentum changer.

I have been arguing for a few weeks now that contrary to popular opinions (pundits and fans alike), we DON'T lack quality players to win the fecker.

Anyone who thinks the likes of Evans, Anderson, O-Shea, Carrick, Fletcher, Rafael, Park, Scholes, Giggs are world beaters are simply finding excuses to feel better (or worse) for our possible failure eventually IMHO.

Granted, they may have a better front-line but I would pick our midfield anytime. Player to player, we can match them technically - first team AND reserves. They have SOME world class players but so do we. FACT.

I think our eventual success or failure to clinch no19 would boil down to only one thing - Winning mentality (from Rafa & players alike)

You know the same mindset that helped us grind out results after results, miracles after miracles in Europe? Just look at how Man Utd poured men forward when they were looking for a winner. As much as I hate admitting it, you just felt they could get it more often than not, right? Do you really think they got all their 1-0's OVER THE YEARS purely by luck?

If (a BIG if no less) we stay close enough in weeks & months to come, I would expect this mentality to slowly kick in for Rafa & our players. I dare say we normally always get it if we know EXACTLY what we want from a match. Problem with all the draws so far is they weren't as pressing & intense as all the sudden-death games in Europe.

Can you imagine we would concede the same goal so late (vs Everton) if we were playing Real Madrid (a better team) in UCL instead? I can't.

Can you imagine we would still draw each of those games 0-0, if 1pt meant we missed out on UCL 2nd round? I can't.

What's the difference here? Mentality.

Of cos I still believe.. How can we be out of it if we are still 2nd, level on points and with a whopping 48pts to go??!! But there is VERY little room for error now.. Bcos I am convinced Man Utd will keep winning - ugly or otherwise.

Thats the ultimate difference between us and mannure. They seem to want this more than us. Why else do they gride 1-0 results from nowhere. The mannure players you mention are decent but not world class. With fergie he knows how to use his squad and the positions the players are best suited where there ability will bloom and bring out the best of them.

Even though they have injuries they are still capable of winning any game. Its because they have fergie the red nosed :censored:.

If you have the right management and the right set of players then results are  inevitable. Even with an average squad a good manager can still get the best out of his players. But with a negative manager you could have the best players in the world but you still wont propel.

Let's not forget Wigan away before the Chelsea game Scott.

They are showing better form than us of late - draw that and
the pressure cranks up even more!
