I never want us to play a 4-4-2 again. It's rubbish.

then keane is on the bench if we only play one up front .

Our 0-0 draws with Fulham, West Ham, Stoke, Villa, Liege where all played with a 4-4-2 with Keane Torres up front, and so was the 1-1 with Everton.
Plus we struggled a 1-0 win with it against Liege and a 2-1 with boro(we came from behind).
It really is just a bad formation to have with our players. I won't risk the form of our team, and form of the players to accommodate Keane. It's just not on.

then keane stays on the bench and we play 4-5-1 - simple as that . i never wanted keane at the club and even more so at the price - wanted that sort of money spent on a creative player - for the price of dossena reira and keane we could of got both podolski and silva or podolski and arshavin and that would of given us options and goals .

Doesn't bother me if he stays on the bench. I'd just test him on the right in a 4-2-3-1 and see if it comes to anything, instead of wasting on the bench.

Well if Keane is Rubbish IYO, what does that tell you about the manager splashing out the money he did on him? No wonder the board are questioning and reviewing Rafa's potential acquirements with his erratic player judgement.
It really does my head in with all this Keane bashing. Torres also had a stinker against Everton. Did you notice that? Look at Berbatov stroll around the pitch for the Mancs. Hardly any input for most of the game, then bang, gets winning goals late in the game. Keane get 60-65 mins, and is hauled off. Keane COULD get goals late on, if he STAYED on, and was given a chance.
Of course his performances are bad recently, thats because he is Rafa's victim week in, week out, whether on the pitch, or exhibited on the bench, like a schoolboy sent to stand in the corner. I hope he throws a wobbler & gets the fu.ck out and does brilliant for whoever signs him, for his own sake.
Rafa prefers not to loose, than to win. Way too negative, for players like Keane, and dare I say Torres.
Keane didn't become bad overnight.
It is a gradual, continual eroding of the players confidence by the manager. The manager is destroying the player and also the clubs investment, as if we wanted to sell him on, we'd be lucky to get back 50% of the fee spent on him.
Istanbul has been and gone. It looks like 2008-2009 will be a season of "If Only" come what May. Looks like 2nd place could even be a battle, now with Viila coming into form, and Arsenal will probably turn it on for the run in, which could possibly mean our aim could be whats becoming the perennial fight for 4th spot? Mediocrity strikes again.......
I could be wrong, and stand to be corrected. Just quote this back to me at the end of the season,
and call me the biggest fooookwit you want, and I would gladly accept the derision. I'll run the gauntlet right or wrong.

why when we have someone who has proved to be a success out on the right in that formation both last year and this year by creating chances and scoring improtant goals for us while playing out there .
