LIVERPOOL VS EVERTON

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

The season just seems like its colapsed since the trouble with Gerrard, rafas fergie rant and this contract malarky we where buzzing now I just feel deflated add to that we only have two match winners in the team Gerrard and Torres.
Rafa being happy with draws all the time if you cant win dont get beat mentality.

Our home form leaves a lot to be desired 6 wins 5 draws you have to win your home games simple as.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Thats right.

ITs Rafa's fault he has been playing nowwhere near his best. Depite the fact he is playing awful he should be left in the the team.

Even if it means we lose games and miss out on silverware, at least that way this one player can get his form back and feel good about himself and feel wanted - cus thats whats important here. We really need these players who are only paid about £60k a week on average to feel loved and wanted, that is hte ONLY way they can play wel.

I think we should give players out of form all the time in the Wworld to find hteir form even if the results dont come.

Amen

I never said its Rafa's fault mate, if its anyones fault its Masch's . He's the one that decided to go to the Olympics, he's the one that hasn't been playing well. If he was at his best he would have got more games would he not ?

even if mash was playing the worst football he has ever played he would still have been a better option than lucas, he is just not good enough kuyt was playing well at the start of the season but has fallen off the pace and has gone back in to himself and i just had a feeling when bennie bloody hill come on some thing was going to go wrong i'm sorry ( and this is only what i think ) he is NOT good enough for liverpool never has been and never will be he can't tackle for toffee and gives very little else to are game. yes i can see what mic was saying that if he had not made any tackles we would slate him as being lazy but come on if your going to make those type of tackles in those postions we are better off him not doing it

I agree with Graham there. I do think that Masherano hasn't reached the hieghts of last season yet, but purely as a destructive midifelder there aren't any better ones I don't think when you are 1-0 up. I just thought that was a strange one. I suppose to some extent Rafa's hand was forced by the non performance of Keane. Once he'd pulled him off, there was the danger that if he then took Torres off we'd lose all forward momentum. Lucas does offer more going forward than Masherano so perhaps that was it. Who knows, obviously I'm not at melwood so not me.

"Lucas, Bennynoon and Kuyt are not good enough simple as."

Totally agree. But I would go one step further. How many of the current first team would get into a Shankley, Paisley or Dalglish side? Very few. Which brings us to the conclusion that the team, Rafa's team, is not good enough. I know it's been said here before, but I've been saying it for two seasons: We will not win the league with Rafa in charge. I'm not saying he's a bad manager. But I can't see him being a great manager. There is definitely something missing?

yes but gerrard would not have had to sit back in and defend with mash on and that would have given us are forward movement, have to say given the option of lucas or gerrard i know who i would have wanted pushing forward

Attacking football, and any sort of creativity on the right is what's missing.

after reading all the post on here from last night i think that most members on here here are blind to the fact that Rafa has been off his own game for sometime, his head is not focused on winning the prem.

he needs to put all the other stuff to one side and focus on what he is paid to do, and that is to WIN games, something he is finding hard to do over the last few weeks.

There is also a point to make for our none English/British players not getting the same feeling of MUST WIN in games like last night, not just as would put us back to the top but it would put one over the Blues.

I am not sure we can pick ourselfes up from last night (in the prem) our players have seen their manager talking to the press and know there is stuff going on.My big fear is now Man U Raffa gives up on the Prem and starts looking at the CL to save his job.

The lack of ideas from our team and manager over the last few games has been shocking, Raffa likes sticking to a plan and when its not working he will not change it, We all know that at 65 mins Rafa will make a sub, well so do the teams we play, the other team know that as well and can put a plan into place to overcome that for the next 5 mins (when a goal is 70% more chance of coming for the team thats just made a sub). ok so last night we did get that goal after the sub but at 1-0 we all know Rafa was going to take off the strikers, was can this tell the other team, well a lot.
They know that they do not have to keep a eye on the danger men up front, they can turn their eye to getting up front and helping in getting their goal (and that did happen last night).

i don't want to go down the rafa bashing route but there does seem to be some thing that has changed from the start of the season we were playing well enough to get results and rafa did make some good changes when needed but lakes your right it is now Predictable as to what rafa is going to do and teams/other managers know how to counter it

going forward rafa needs to change his thinking stop playing so defensive and push for a bloody win

I might be a newbie on here mate but I've been watchin LFC for over 40 years man and boy. I was lucky enough to be there when we ruled the football world for decades only for the rats from up the lancs steal our crown from under our noses. Whatever I say is heartfelt and filled with passion for my team. I look forward to lively debate from people who disagree with my opinions. But I will never personally attack or insult a fellow red no matter how much cack theyre talking (that's the theory anyway)
