Dawson everyone here has a right to an opinion. You cannot label the majority '' if their opinions seem bad of the manager. Hopefully I wont get a chance to but I will bring you back to this thread next week when Utd go above us.
And I'll brinmg you back here when we stay top

A lot of people felt we should have brought a second striker early and moved to a 4-4-2. Chelsea did that and they got hammered. I don't think it would have made that much difference to us yesterday either as the problem was more the supply to the striker from defence and midfield.

Nonsense!
Kuyt was isolated upfront yesterday..when he got the ball there were too many men on him!Bringing Keane on with his runs would have freed up room up top for Kuyt and Gerrard as well supporting,it would have opened things up.
Compairing our match to todays is just daft, totally different type of games from whistle to whistle!

It's still the same change in formation. Bringing on a second striker isn't always the right solution. Sometimes you just end up with 2 isolated strikers instead of one and loose more control of the midfield.Thats what happened to Chelsea today.
I don't understand why people keep saying Rafa got it wrong yesterday either.

You're right...Rafa got it perfectly right....
He was perfectly justified, as manager of the team leading the Premiership, to adopt a 4-5-1 formation with a - ahem! - pint-size striker, against an opposition who mop up high balls for fun. To select a midfield that included Benayoun.....'nuff said about that donkey....
In fact, to adopt a cautious approach, saving his first class striker as if for a rainy day....After all, I'm sure Torres will be grateful he didn't have to exert himself come the summer, when he's off on his holidays somewhere, and doesn't have to deal with the aftermath of a hectic season (In case you don't geddit...the above is called "sarcasm" - it ain't Torres' fault the manager chose to leave him on the bench...)
And I'm sure Robbie Keane will be grateful as well for the same reason. A question, Mr. Benitez: how exatly is Keane supposed to score goals, justify his 20M transfer fee, if he ain't on the pitch to begin with ?
But no, I digress, I mustn't nbe thinking straight....Rafa got it just right yesterday....we got a well deserved point....
What was that punchline from The Royle Family again : "My a$$$$$$$...!"
