Basically

Space being a vacum created pressure which resulted in atomic reactions creating atomic debris which being the way they are kind of got together over a huge time period to create the universe

To cut a long story short the earth came about from this and eventually animals evolved hence we are here now

The other point of view is God created it all in six days then had a day off which I dont begrudge him as I have two days off a week and I dont create planets

as i understand it, before the creation of the universe there was NO TIME, so i was wondering taff, if what you say is true, then all the stuff couldn't have come together over a period of time, as time did not exist until the moment of creation. this creates a paradox in your theory. Nonetheless, the matter and anti matter that created the universe, created in no time at all. mind blowing eh!
anymore of you have views? :p

The Big Bang Theory

Representation of the universe according to inflationary cosmology.
The Big Bang Theory is the dominant scientific theory about the origin of the universe. According to the big bang, the universe was created sometime between 10 billion and 20 billion years ago from a cosmic explosion that hurled matter and in all directions.
In 1927, the Belgian priest Georges Lemaître was the first to propose that the universe began with the explosion of a primeval atom. His proposal came after observing the red shift in distant nebulas by astronomers to a model of the universe based on relativity. Years later, Edwin Hubble found experimental evidence to help justify Lemaître's theory. He found that distant galaxies in every direction are going away from us with speeds proportional to their distance.

The big bang was initially suggested because it explains why distant galaxies are traveling away from us at great speeds. The theory also predicts the existence of cosmic background radiation (the glow left over from the explosion itself). The Big Bang Theory received its strongest confirmation when this radiation was discovered in 1964 by Arno Penzias and Robert Wilson, who later won the Nobel Prize for this discovery.

Although the Big Bang Theory is widely accepted, it probably will never be proved; consequentially, leaving a number of tough, unanswered questions.

Judge old bean

There had to be time as it is and will be and was a continuing aspect of our universe.  Time cannot stop just because theres nothing there

I understand your point of view but these pesky atoms did expand over a period of time which existed pre atom expansion

Think of it as a huge pair of tads

Gosh .. taff how nicely put.... :)

I suppose the next question is .... are we going to be replaced in the throery of evolution... who could be the next  species or bread.. survival of the fittest...

"Huncky Spaniardos" wearing red shorts and playing at Anfield  ???

Or could we be overtaken by a crashing UFO with little green men  :alien:  "I come in peace V... not!.. BANG ( the big bang all over again ay)  :D
