Yea, you're right with this - there are games were his misses are inexcusable at this level. he just seems to do the hard things well and not concentrate for the easy things - thats why i say frustrating....\

He's clearly good enough to score these chances....but misses!?

If Alonso is in a foot cast think he will be better by Chelsea?  I think we can handle Stoke, Wigan, and Everton without him, but it will be tough.

According to Spanish agencies,  it's not the foot but the ankle. The agencies say that despite the injury lenght is still unknown, the fact Alonso had a splint in the second half in the bench, it's a sign it won't be something unimportant. :(

I preffer it being the ankle than the foot, because IIRC last year it was the foot and then he suffered the same injury after one game, so good it's not the same injury

A injury is always bad, but that's what a deep squad is for and I have full trust in Mascherano.

Masch looks like he may have picked up a slight hamstring injury as well though, if it is something I'd expect him to miss at least the Stoke game this may force us to play Torres at Stoke hopefully it's nothing serious with him though.

Hehe, Yahoo Matchcast:

Torres goes on a mazy dribble but his cut-back is intercepted by McKenna, he slips though and Gerrard can shoot but straight at Cavalieri.
