2 lads at work are both manc fans - they 'obviousley' know what happened as they've read it in the paper this morning and they both hope he gets 5 years for it. The same two manc fans said to me yesterday "we're 7 points behind you now, but we've still got 2 games in hand! ha ha ha ha ha"

so thats 7 points behind and a possible 6 points from 2 games? so you'll still be behind us - sad fking bstds.

I hope it's all blown out of context and it turns out to be a minor charge or case dropped. a lump of dosh for the manc DJ as compo and get on with winning the league.

All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

Hi, I'm not a Liverpool fan but spotted this and thought it was terrible that even now, people can link things like Gerrard's arrest back to the tragedies of Hillsborough and Heysel.
Look at the comment on this story - link removed

"over 1000 witness have contact the police"
Radio 5 live

and then they said

"That seems very strange as the first report said there was only 20 clubbers in the bar at the time"

bet the 1000 are Man U fans.

storm in a tea cup mate, its just a load of w@nkers wanting to have a say and get their face in the press. Leave Gerrard out and the weekend and the whole thing will have blown over, till the 23rd anyway when he has to go to the Magistrates.

Lets keep things in perspective people, a Sheff Utd player has been arrested for allegedly killing a father of 5 and 100s of people are dying in Gaza. As Ciggy said, it shows the sad state of affairs this country is in

He's a celeb, one of the best players in thew world, Captain of Liverpool. Of course it's gonna be front page news.
I'm actually a lil worried about it, what it will do to his mindset for the rest of the season. i'm sure it will all be sorted out but it's the last thing anyone needs.

You're right Daws, the prospect of losing him or this affecting his form is pretty daunting, it would do us absolutely no favours.
As I've mentioned before, he's a mentally strong lad, opposition fans will give him a lot of stick for this and hopefully it will just egg him on and he'll silence everyone pretty quickly. I think if we get behind him and show him our full support he'll do his talking on the pitch.

Then we just have to worry about whatever punishment comes his way, there's a lot of ifs and buts regarding this whole scenario so if Gerrard has done something which he knows he is guilty of he just has to take it on the chin. One thing I'm pretty sure of is that he won't miss any games for us, whether he turns up in spirit is a different matter tho.

I doubt we'll see him at the weekend tho, and a lot will be made of that probably

If it were me I'd be sh!tting myself in all honesty
