Battering a helpelss victim?

He smacked some tit who was calling him and his family for alsorts lad.

If Gerrard accidently brushed passed someone and caught them with an elbow do you really think he'd be charged with ABH and Affray?

Like I said, you don't have a clue about either incident.

Oh, really? Observe.

Battering.

Now, you can crack a loud mouth in the face, and be a man about it and walk away once he hits the deck. Watch what 'Thug Life Joey' does. Someone obviously hasn't said anything to this scumbag that you never kick a man when he's down. And the eejit he's beating is obviously so f*cked off his tree, he can't do a thing to defend himself. Joey's a real hard man.

All the press have been saying is Gerrard caught him in the face when he pushed him, then he walked away and his mates did the rest.

Why is this thread turning into a Gerrard bashing thread for some? ???

I reckon Gerrard will come out fighting on the pitch! Hopefully it'll give him an extra bit of motivation, let's face it, he's going to get a lot of stick from every other fan in the country now
All round the fields of Anfield Road

Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing

Who gives a f*ck what he was saying? He did the job in one punch, then went in to do some GBH when he didn't have to. He's a c*nt plain and simple.

Who do you support pal?

Would you like to just retract that statement maybe???!

:no

So because I refuse to to bury my head in the sand about Gerrard means I'm not a Liverpool fan and should retract my statement?

Are you denying then that the two footed tackles in the Derbies ever happened? The two footed stamp, which one poster has as an avatar is a figment of my imagination?

Shut up ya fool.

your a cnt. why dont you just fk right off?

Aye, exactly right, Ciggy.

He's coming across like he's an authority on the situation. Needs to wind the neck in.

Now just swap the situation around if Steve had been attacked by 6 geezers (even if he was being a knób) then we would be calling for 20 years for all of them.

My son idolises Steve and his name is on the back of all my shirts but we can't lok at this thru rose tinted glasses, as i said how would you react if it was the other way around.

Still it's a big IF, regarding if he actually did anything

your spot on mate, and if he had done it the club should also take a stand.

Ah he's not a f.ucking superhero, he did something wrong so fecking what

Oh no stevies a bad bad boy

He'll pay the consequences for whatever he's done an thats that

Liverpool FC Statement on Steven Gerrard:

"Liverpool Football Club today pledged its full support to skipper Steven Gerrard following the events of the past 48 hours.
A statement from the club said: "Steven has been an outstanding servant to Liverpool for the last 10 years and the club will give him all the support he needs at this time."

You bunch of numpties - this is how you support your own ay  ppl in the public eye are subject to extraordinary abuse and grief - totally uncalled for.

Steven Gerrard is our superhero, as close as they come and at this time, when all and sundry will want him to 'fall' our club and we as supporters must stand  by him - END OFF.

I'm proud that LIVERPOOL FC have come out with such a no-nonsense statement !

Support Steven Gerrard - our Captain Fantastic :buttrock
THE BRENDAN REVOLUTION IS UPON US !

isnt it best now just to wait and see what happens now ? We can speculate all we want but no one knows the truth . And stu im sorry but barton is a thug , yeah he may of been getting loads of shi t from someone so that explains giving someone a punch , but to carry on the attack while the guy is on the floor is the act of a cowardly thug and can never be condoned . Words are just words but constant physical violence is a different matter . If you think barton was right then that just shows what sort of person you are and i hope you wouldnt do the same in the same situation .

So you judge Ciggys up bringing for saying dirty tackles are acceptable against Everton.

THEN a few minutes later defend that clip of Barton battering some fella by saying...you never heard what he said!

i'm very, very distressed about this situation now. i'm not going to comment any futher untill the full facts & truth is heard in court, but untill jan 23rd i'm praying this doesn't effeect the rest of the team's performance, with massive games yet to come before the 23rd i hope stevie does play for us in the meantime. i'm glad the club have made a statement in support of stevie, they have done the right thing in keeping the statement short & to the point. this has upset me so much that, untill the 23rd jan i will be hoping & praying everything will be ok. the club has & will remain proffesional throughout in their comments with regard to this incident.
