i'm in a quandry and need some guidance from my esteemed fellow forum bunnies.

currently i have my mobile contract with orange - its ok but not the cheapest. i have my internet connection with telecable and its basically a little bit shyte. there is an option available that will allow me to combine my mobile and internet accounts, to save money and to have better connections. my girfriend is all for it.

the problem is though, that its with vodafone - a company i've avoided along with mcdonalds, shell and starbucks (to name but 3) who are the work of the devil.

i really want to have cheaper phone bills, cheaper internet bills and better connection speeds - but i don't want to be paying wayne rooney's wages. what should i do?

I was in the same boat as you kind of. I was with BT and although I was getting good internet service the phone bills were higher. With talktalk the internet is as good IMO and you save a lot each month through phone bills.

put yourself first andy, as dundalk says. Why worry about trivial things, when you can save yourself loads of money, get a good service, which will please the missus.

It will show her that you are good with money and thinking of them first. sod everyone else including rooney.

plus, you would have a little money left over to use elsewhere mate

look after number 1 andy. that fat little gypo still gets paid no matter who your phone bill's with. but just to be on the safe side you could make up loads of spurious complaints and really waste vodafone's time with them. life is a double edged sword
