Gaz Baz has given an interview on SSN today, still edgeing for a move here I reckon, how would Alonso feel if he joined us though? And if he came it would be to fill the LB position, would he be happy doing so? Because Alonso cannot be dropped nor SOLD for him.

The interviewer asked him , when you watched Liverpool in the CL on tuesday night did you feel any regrets that you could have been playing he said yes. He was very honest about everything and said he was within a whisker of joining us, and if Villa dont finish in the top 4 he will leave at the end of the season.

He will strangle MON if we win the league

if were just throwing out names, I'd like to throw out Lisandro Lopez, looked very good against Arsenal and scored against us last year I believe with an excellent header. Porto have another young striker from Brazil known simply as The Hulk, we should buy him just for the name.

yes I know he played for utd... but what about Henrik Larsson on loan? (if he would come here...)

prob available on loan dec to june - wouldnt cost much

Reading between the lines, Owen wont be signing a new contract because Newcastle cant aford him - thats what happens when dodgey owners run out of money - you have to let your stars go.

I think we have to see first is Alonso signs a new contract or who comes calling for him in the summer. I honestly thing he will be returning to Spain in the summer and IF that happens we must get Barry but it will at least be for less this time.

Dont get me wrong I love Xabi. He is world class and one of the best passers of the ball I have ever seen but something tells me if the price is right Rafa will sell and will go after Barry.
