Torres is worlds away from Babel in every aspect. Im glad Babel got a goal yesterday but despite that he still made some silly passes and gave the ball away a few times. As long as he can do more of the scoring and less of the shabby passing ill be happy.

Nanny why do you claim he is not an out and out striker? He has not been given the chance to play as striker enough apart form last 10 minutes as a loan striker very few times, I think he would function very well in a 4-4-2 with Torres.
All I am saying is give the lad a chance, a decent run in that position. If after 7-8 games he is :censored: and shows no sign of improving or is worse than Keane then I will hold my hands up and admit he's not good enough but playing a striker out on the left wing all the time makes no damned sense.

He is not a good passer of the ball because he's a striker.
He is not good at tracking back and getting stuck into tackles.... because he's a striker!
What he is good at is beating his man and taking his chances. I agree he needs to get a bit more clever with his passing but that will come with playing time in the right position I am sure of it.

Listen, just because the lads big, black, strong, quick and lazy doesn't make him a striker. He's no Henry, he never will be and he's definately no striker.

If anything he's a left of three behind the striker, even that he's not very good it.

The issue I have with him is he makes wrong decisions and is always running into trouble, his first touch can be ropey and he's lasy, I never get the feeling he's giving his all for the side.
If I was Rafa I'd be mostly using him as an impact sub, I dont think he would make a good parner for Torres, we want a partner for Torres that brings out the best in him not someone who forces him to adapt his game.
Anyone who thinks Babel was excellent the other night has a very strange idea of excellence, I dont think he is going to ever be a nailed on first 11 starter and with that in mind if Real really were willing to offer 15m I'd take it and get a clever player with a bit of craft like Arshevin.
Dont judge a book by the cover, unless you cover just another, because blind exceptance is a sign,
Of stupid fools who stand in line......  Like..

Tell me: Why does Babel deserve a run of games, if Ngog does not?

Nanny that guy said couple of days ago,LET`S SELL BABEL AND BUY ASHLEY YOUNG. If he has any idea of football he would say. LET`S SELL BENAYOUN AND DOSSENA,BUY ASHLEY YOUNG AND TRY TO MAKE A GOOD PLAYER FROM RYAN BABEL!
Is that logic? Let`s sell from all of our players,Ryan Babel to buy Ashley?

And babel has never ver played as an out and out striker - as someone has mentioned before he is a Dutch wide forward NOT an out and out striker.
