and of all people for it to hurt, it had to be our already inconfident, struggling striker.

Keane, im unsure how to react to his moaning because he seems to be trying to hard, kept making chances for his team but was hardly given any so he was understandably frustrated. his through ball to Ngog was superb.
Rush Job wrote:Well I must have watching a different match because I didnt think he had a particularly good game, even including his goal. To often he chooses the wrong option going for glory and either runs straight into a defender or blazes high and wide, add to that a complete lack of urgency when he hasnt got the ball. Strange really, you wouldn't pick him as a Benitez player, FWIW I thought N gog had a better game.
Toffeehater wrote:So let me get this straight , babel gets slagged off for being too selfish whereas we have a striker who's happier to pass than shoot ? Babel is a striker , thats why when he had an opening , he takes the shot on . Yes his decision making at that time was stupid , he had the better option to play keane in and should have . This is where maturity comes into play , if stevie , xabi , riera , yossi or masch were in that position , they would have gone with the better option to play keane in . Babel was high on confidence after his goal and you could see he wanted more , he had a good first half and another 25 minutes in the 2nd half . All in all a good performance for babel , first touch was better but passing in decision making still has to be worked on

Babel looks far more confident and has more raw ability as a striker at the moment than Keane. Keane works hard but gets into a lot of weird positions plus why the hell is he constantly back in deep midfield and then wondering why he is not scoring goals. A lot of times today you saw Keane and Babel almost swapping positions and that is when Liverpool actually created some drive going forwards.
I don't blame Babel for wanting to move on but I guarantee we will rue it if he does.
spot on mate, common sense finnaly. Keane was actually on the left wing at the start of the season alittle bit. We must not let this jewel out of our hands. He will mature, skills and ability are not in question, fantastic player. Nanny don`t say me `Babel is not everything about Liverpool`,cause this is Ryan`s thread

Toffeehater don't even bother mate, they have Robbie tinted glasses on and will blame Babel for everything.
Ronaldo has always been a greedy barsteward even when first came to the prem, and i don't care what anyone say i didn't in a million years think he would turn out to be the player he has become.
But back to Babel it doesnt matter what he does some of these lads think they could do betterjust makes me feel embarressed to see so many people clutching at straws to find a reason to put the lad down.
He is a striker Rafa knew what he was about and knew what position he played in if that's not what he wanted he shouldn't have brought the f'ckin lad.
And for the record
at this very moment Keane looks a sh'iter player than Babel does and also for the record if Babel forfills his potential
i personally think he will be twice the player that Keane is.
benjy wrote:i didn't think babel had a good game last night. he didn't look up for it - even the commentators said so. and he didn't look up to taking on the full back. pity though since he appeared to have some joy doing it when he did.
the goal probably boosted his confidence a lot. would have loved a goal for keane also and i was jumping on my feet and cursing when babel didn't play keane in.
but i didn't like the way keane vented. a word with babel would have been better than doing what he did.
