6/10

Insua looked skillfull and thoughtful in his distribution at times, was average at others. Defended ok in general positionally but lost a few headers obviously due to his size. All in battled well and was ok.

One of Babel's best games in a red shirt. Had one quality run which finished with a square pass to Gerrard which was set perfectly for a shot, didn't lose the ball much and looked ok when he went to the right. Still went missing for periods, took him 20 minutes to get a touch and miscontrolled some basic passes. For me, he should have done enough today to get a place on the right in our next game but knowing Benitez he'll see it differently and come up with some other smart soloution on how to drop us points.

Just to point out to the Babel lovers, if thats the best he has to offer then he's got to go! :D

Babel was sh!te, El Zhar did more when he came on.

Insua was decent, looks like a decent player.

If did more was running into players for you . Babel's passing was sloppy but he should some neat footwork later on in the 2nd half and played better . Needs games to get some consistency , hopefully he starts against psv and hull as well

glad we won good 3 goals. glad we scored a few aswel. looked like another 0-0 draw until the 60 odd min. must keep the momentum going. i feel the hull match will be difficult as wel as the arsenal one.

I dnt we have ever played " :censored:", maybe not dominated or looked totally devestating in attack, but not :censored:. in fact we have always been solid in defence and even in defensive midfield

for real performance is the key. at the moment considering our poor strikers (excluding torres) im happy as long as were winning. i feel the second half of the season will be very interesting. let just hope we have a fit torres to bang in the goals. maybe an extra stiker aswel to help out.

wasnt the worst performance ever from Babel to be honest... surprised people are saying he had a sht game cause from where i was sitting he was doing some good work up the pitch and provided Gerrard with a brilliant square ball that should have led to a goal... To me Babel should play upfront as a forward... Kuyt was awful yet again and his touch... i mean i havent seen many othere players in professional football with a worst first touch it was embarrassing to watch at times... Keane an Babel upfront for next game lets just say Kuyt needs a break and given the way Rafas been changing the side in recent weeks i meean why not...

Dossena plays his bests game ever and gets the bench ? come on seriously...

we were lucky to get anything out of this game but 3 points are 3 points and im delighted with the win...
but obviously we will need to step it up big time in the coming weeks and believe it or not im more worried about playing the smaller sides now than i am about the Arsenal game.... Boring football is a given under Rafa just hope we keep grinding out results...
