True story, I actually did one of my main dissitations at university on the legalisation of prostitution. Called it, and this is true PLOP Pushing for the legalisation of prostitution.
Basically it was a booklet on how STD screen tests, properly run houses for the work, taxes on so-called tricks and am uch safer working envoirenment should be beneficial to all.

One is a no brainer. Nazi war criminals, chase them for a bit, they'll all be dead soon.
Should all be named? Too tough to say. Too many offenders offend within the family, so naming them is naming the victims as well so it would have to be treated with a lot more thought than a forum on a monday morning. Why name Mr Smith if it means everyone knows daughter or son Smith was the one being abused. As for castration, again tough and would depend no the crime but for a repeat offender, absolutely

you do make a very good point about the naming bit. cause i was all for naming but then it will also indirectly reveal the identities of fellow family members which isnt nice.

1) the nazis:
yes, they should be persecuted and prosecuted. the time elapsed doesn't lessen the scale of their crimes or make them any less guilty.

2) prostitution:
yes, it should be legalised but the controls would need to be carefully thought out. i'm in agreement that it should be legal in certified brothels, for house calls - but i also think that a carefully policed red light district could work as well. all sex workers should have to carry a card proving their sexual health, their age and that they are not an imported sex slave. any one working outside of the guidelines should be prosecuted as well as the people they are working for. there should also be a full support and advice system in place for the prostitutes which takes care of their physical and mental well being.

leftopinkycommiedogooders should have free access to the best girls.

3)naming and shaming:
i'm in full agreement with not publicly naming sex offenders for the same reasons of protecting the innocent victims. such offenders are well known in the prisons and generally seem to receive a little extra special treatment from other inmates anyway.

if all the above fails, talk nicely to all criminals, offer them a cup of tea and just see if they don't change their naughty naughty ways.

2) what if the person who is hiring them has an STD?

3) by naming them, wouldnt it make the neighbourhood more safer? it will surely make it very hard for the offenders to move on and try to improve as there'll be a label on them though.

2) what's different from an illegal sex industry? anyone with an ounce of common sense would demand a condom or refuse the 'provide the service'. this is where the sexual health 'support and education system' would have to come in to play.

3) if an offender is going to be named they will first have to have been convicted. if they have been convicted they would have to be sent to jail and the neighbourhood would already be safer as far as that individual is concerned. obviously for this to work though the criminal justice system for sex crimes would have to work a lot better than it does currently.

if they are sent to jail the neighbourhood would be safe for that period of time. by naming them, it would at least make the people aware as to who is an offender and girls would be careful the next time they choose to go out with some random guy.
