Recently made a comeback for the ressies, but has hardly played at all since pre-season, even at reserve level.

To me the signing of Ngog was a poor one.  He's bollox and his presence is preventing the likes of Pacheco and Nemeth from getting the odd chance even from the bench.

They are both :censored: too. Paccheo is too young anyway.

True, Nemeth looked really sh.it as he banged in quality goal after quality goal last season for the reserves and Hungary U21s.

And Pacheco also looked pretty sh.it in pre-season, despite Carra and Gerrard both saying how impressed they were with his performances in competitive and training games at the age of 17.

I think untested is the word you're looking for rather than sh.it.  On the other hand, Ngog clearly is just sh.it.

Sometimes if the potential is there its good to have these untested players given an opportunity. Remember when Owen first arrived on the scene he took the league by storm. It would be nice if one of our youngsters could come in and do something similar.

It would inspire the team on !

There may be something he isn't doing, or isn't doing properly to help prevent a recurrance of the injury - exercises in training/warm-ups and what have you. He needs a programme specific to his needs, because he's exactly the type of player that gets these types of injuries - I don't know if he has one. It didn't seem he was 'rushed' back bearing in mind he was phased back into first team action over the course of three matches, and a fair while after his 'expected' return date.

Exactly my point really Bam.

But the signing of Ngog is part of the problem here.  The lad's clearly nowhere near good enough to play for us.  He gets a place on the bench but you just know he's never going to come on and influence a game.  We knew as early as the Villa game he's not a Premiership player let alone a Liverpool player at the moment.

On the other hand Nemeth and Pacheco clearly do have raw talent and stand out at reserve level.  Nemeth in particular is getting to the age where we have to either start giving him a chance or loan him out, otherwise he won't progress.  With Torres out it's the ideal chance for one of these kids to get a chance.

im thinking the same thing. maybe one of the youngsters like nemeth or pacheco or ngog should be given a chance. or we could do with owen or martins in jan. owen is injury prone yet he still scores unlike our 20mil superstar keane.

I would give one of the youngsters a few chances off the bench, and look to buy at Christmas if they don't take their chance.

spot on.

Ngog should follow voronin out of the club and we should give some first team playing time to the youngsters, Nemeth and Pacheco definately deserve a chance - like darby and Insua.

I'm not talking starting, or serious playing time. I mean giving them a place on the bench (especially now that we have the option of 7 places) and bringing them on if the time is right.

Terrible idea IMO, Mascherano couldnt creat a goal if his life depended on it, you need more than a bit of pace to play right wing. I no everyone seems to hate Pennant out there but he is probable still our best option and at least he gets balls in the box and makes the opposition left back work, which is more than most we have

Thats a fkin hammer blow, and not just Torres but we are going to have to play fkin Dossena the liability.
If our Title challenge is to continue we NEED a fit AND in form Torres, yes we have done well without him but that wont last forever.
I`ll leave the post there because its really done my head in that and I dont want to say somethink I could regret. :(

i hope i will be too  :D
besides, if one injury can have such a huge effect it just goes to show we lack depth and we're not ready to give a lasting challenge to the league.

Would the mancs of won the league last season without Ronaldo?
Your not saying anything we dont know, we must keep our top players fit to maintain a challenge, that was my point. Just as a guide our most expensive squad player is babel at 8 rising to 11, now have a look at the mancs and chelsea.

Well I fkin hope so mate its just we havent had a fit and firing on all cylinders Torres yet this season IMO and yer we`ve done well but how long till it tells?
I mean if we all new before the season how Torres would be in and out the side and Gerrard would miss big games like agaist the mancs I recon many in here would have us outside the top four at this point, so yes we have done well. But how long is it going to be now before he`s back and fully fit? Four, five weeks? We really need Keane to step up now.
Add to that, that Dossena is a fkin lyability.
But your right mate we need to fully support the lads who are out there and hope for the best. :)

:no , no experience and throwing him into a prem game . He'll get murdered , either kuyt there or babel , i'd prefer the latter as kuyt has been great on the right

Time to rest torres , this season he looks plagued by injuries rest him till new years and hopefully he can get at least 20 goals this season .
