I can only see that lad getting better and better whereas Lucas is a waste of space imo, he's had plenty of time now to prove himself and has done nothing to convince me.
Anyway I reckon Babel should start taking our corners from now on because all his deliveries were good which you can't say for Stevie's or, Aurelio's.

I dont agree mate, Lucas was much better in the second half and when Alonso came on to sit he was transformed into a proper little player, it was a great ball he played that sadly led to their keepers injury.
I dare say if we had started with Alonso and Lucas the outcome could have been different.

and the corners??
anyway I will have to agree to disagree about Lucas, there is no way he is ever worth £11 million in my book.

yep totally agree,i know everyone doesn't like Lucas but i see something in him, if he had a bit more cofidence and someone capable next to him he could be a good player but i think most have already made their minds up about him

the reason we scored from 2 corners mate is cause their keeper is totally :censored:! & if it was apositive why the feck didn"t we put more crosses into the box from open play, answer = cause we didn"t create enough chances through lack of urgency! & p1ss poor passing, no over lapping from either so called fb etc etc.

as for babel taking the corners from now on ok but what about showing an example to the fringe players when it comes to trying to win the ball back once youv"e lost it! feck me how frustrating was it to watch when he took on players, didn"t deliver a cross or a shot on goal, then just give up. i also like babel by the way but his performance tonight again demonstrated why he isn"t a first choice player at the moment, his attitude for me is a concern at the moment.

thanks to some mad driving by my friend i am back from the game before 11pm.

a few tings that i need to say.

WTF is up with Torres, he only made one move to get the ball, if the ball to not give at feet he would let it run on.

our back 4.......what a :censored: joke, at one point i was sure there was going to be a fight between Dossena, Hyypia, Agger and if they did it would have been the first bit of coordination all night.

after half time i felt like going home. it was sad to see player in our Liverpool shirt that had not hart for our club.

Lucas...........you are ment to be playing football mate not looking to pass the blame off when you :censored: up.

Cavalieri you need to take notice of  what Hyypia is telling when he has the arm band on....you dont know better.

the fight back.......
not much on one, ok at one point we felt we was back in and i dont care what they guy on the radio said on the way home, it was a pen.

Plessis.........not bad, just as he found his feet he was taken off, same he was so :censored: in the first half.

the posative we can take from this game........it was onlyt 3-0 at half time, it could have been a hell lot more.

to the Spurs fans.......I found you very funny tonight and it was nice to meet other football fans that had a true love for football.

in all, happy to be home and thank good it was not a Prem game.

Well to be honest im glad we are out of the carling cup. It's not like our youngsters are even good enough to be trusted with only being played in it anyway. I havent seen any of the game but it sounds like Lukas and Dossena looked :censored: again. I just hope Rafa sells those 2 come the summer asap. Id rather have Didi Hamman and Riise back than those 2 clowns.

I can live with going out of this comp, as others have said we've got bigger fish to fry at the moment.
However I can't take the manner in which the defeat came about.

Our squad looks very thin on the ground tonight and a few injuries will undoubtedly screw our title challenge firmly into the ground.

Cavalieri - 3 - Made the odd decent save and didn't have too much protection but looks very expensive at £3 million.
Degen - 3 - Can't really see what inspired Rafa to give him a contract, looks like they needed a replacement for Kewell in the injury room!
Agger - 5 - As solid as he could be with the shambles around him.
Hyypia - 5 - Looked a long way from the Sami we know. Is showing that he's nearing the end of his top flight career but having to cover for others didn't help.
Dossena - 0 - Words fail me. At fault for all but one goal. He's got a girls name but he'd still be shite in a girls match!!!
El Zhar  - 5 - Started the match but only played from the 46th minute. Looked like one of our more potent threats in the 2nd half.
Lucas - 4 - Two questions, 1. Is his Brazilian passport genuine? If it is he has to be the worst Brazilian footballer I've ever come across!! 2. Who told him and Rafa he was a footballer?? Might sound harsh but I've seen very little from him that suggests he has a future in the game at any professional level.
Plessis - 4 - Scored the goal, did nowt else.
Babel  - 5 - Provided two good corners for the two goals but is still failing to live up to his potential.
Ngog - 3 - Was he actually on the pitch?? ???
Torres - 5 - Looked rustier than a 1975 Ford Cortina parked on Southport beach for the past 20 years!! Hopefully come Saturday with better quality around him Liverpool's Number 9 will be back!

Performance overall from the team: 0.5/10

It doesnt sound good what you were saying though. What can Hicks possibly have up his sleeve to warrant still being so stubborn? Im betting it has something to do with what GG said the other week when he said "all will be clarified soon">
