Without Torres I don't think it would matter if we played 4-4-2 or 4-1-5 we would still struggle for goals BECAUSE THE OTHER FORWARDS ARN'T SCORING ENOUGH. Only Kuyt has been carrying the burden this season, and the last thing we need is him playing furthest striker forward..... because he doesn't lead the line, he drops off .
I prefer 4-4-2 and think against MOST sides its probably the best formation IF we have two strikers playing well and scoring, at the moment with Keane firing blanks I would prefer Gerrard behind Torres. I think we have a lack of options up front at the moment with Torres being out, and tbh very LUCKY to have scored as many goals as we have this season, even with the large number of chances we have made.
We need another striker ..... and one that we can rely on to get goals even when Torres is out. Even if Keane starts knocking goals in for fun when Torres comes back we still need another striker, because we have no one to lead the line when Torres doesn't play, and as we all know Torres can't play EVERY GAME can he?
