PM if necessary.
Downloaded this as Sabre said it gives you advice on what each item is. A very handy piece of kit and probably a bit more user friendly for the non-computer geeks on here!!

Naturally, I was horrified to see this invasion of privacy but there is a way or two around this if anyone wants to get shut of this. Let me know. This is something that Mozilla have made a mistake on with the new browser if you ask me. But Firefox is a belter and I won't use anything else. I downloaded Google Chrome and Opera as an alternative to IE7 but Firefox is the one for me. With all the add-ons that can come with it and the Greasemonkey scripts you can add, it's the only browser to use.
My opinion anyway...

Yeah mate i installed Firefox after i got my comp upgraded last month (reason why ive not been on much) and its much better than that IE s.*i*e - although i would deffo be interested in having a feature to remove history tho....

just incase like!
Sound mate.
1. In the address bar, type about:config, and press Enter.
2. If prompted, click “I’ll be careful, I promise!”, to continue to the about:config page.
3. Search for the preference browser.urlbar.maxRichResults.
4. Double-click the browser.urlbar.maxRichResults preference and enter a value of -1.
5. From the menu at the top of the Firefox windowbar, select File and then select the Exit item.
6. Restart Firefox again.
Now when you type in the address bar, no list of results will be shown. A big help for when you're either on a public computer or you don't want members of your family seeing that you've been on Amazon and what you're buying them for Xmas.
Nothing to do with looking at Runcorn.
To re-enable the autocomplete list, follow the steps above, but set the value to 10 or 12 (which is the default value depending on certain machines).
Another way to combine the effectiveness of your change is to install an add-on calle Hide Unvisited 3 which you can click here to do directly.
