Who is Kevin Beattie? You mean James beattie? or Kevin Phillips from Southampton? If you mean James beattie...I'd like him at Liverpool, great partner for Cisse or Baros and very creative...wouldn't pay too much for him though, no more than 4-5mill considering he wasn't that prolific last year

Anchor man wants to know....Shall we sign Kevin Beattie!!!
Chopper:Look, you're not still angry at me about the leg, are you?
Neville Bartos : Nah, forget about it.
Chopper : Because I don't know if you remember, Neville, but I had that bloody shotgun pointed at your head. I reconsidered and dropped it down to your kneecap. Remember?

James Beattie is a good player at an average club. I dont think for one minute he could cut it at a club like Liverpool. He is another Heskey waiting to happen. And I dont think we will sign him.

I tell you what, if Owen goes (and I do still think it's a pretty big if), am I right in thinking it'll be the first time in LFC's history that we've not had a single British-born striker in serious contention for the first team?

I have to say, there aren't too many out there that you want to replace him either. Personally, I'd only consider Vassell (who is crying out for a big club) or maybe Shearer for a season as cover.

Probably but just cos there isn't a British born player there doesn't mean we go out an waste money on an overpriced flop..... Vassell isn't good enough to play for Liverpool end of
