Emille heskey - Available in january

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby roberto green » Fri Oct 17, 2008 3:37 pm

He wouldn't cost much and i know he has been good of late...

but we have been there before with Emile and when the chips are down we all know what hes like when he loses his confidence etc.If we are looking for a grafter who will hustle and bustle we are already well equiped in the likes of kuyt and Keane,we need that player that will make the difference inbetween winning and losing by creating goals in an act of genius. Not another workhorse, if we buy anymore grafters you may aswell call us Wimberpool.

alot of work horses were in rafa valencia team when they took la liga for 2 years against teams with far more money so is this rafa plan                         i was never a emile fan as some one that big shouldn't be that easy to knock over, but owen and robbie did well off his back when they played witgh him so why not

Not a chance.

Are we really short of a hard-working, goal shy centre-forward?!

:D You just want him to take some of the pressure and stick away from Kuyt.   :D

Just DON'T go saying he's better than Berbatov  :D

I didn't like much Heskey at Liverpool, and when he has played against us after that I didn't like him neither.

Deficient players are often prone to criticism, so if that's what you call it then yeh, he probably would be!

Deffo No .

He's been average for wigan , he's a goal shy forward and will not pull his fair share of the goals . Heskey may have been good for England but i don't think he will fit our system , i don't fancy us playing long ball again like we did when crouch was here   Keane is better for now and i think with the money we might spend on heskey why not on owen , who's can buy out his contract? Class player , better than heskey and  and would be a cheaper alternative . A strike force of torres , owen and keane would be excellent as we will always have a quality striker to bring off the bench if needed and a good cover incase of injuries , like torres has just suffered .

he is world class, i would sell our current squad for him and have him run/fall around the pitch on his own every game. but for a free!!! it'd be crazy not to get him.

and im dead serious too.  :blues: see?

if we bring back hesky we will end up playin long balls again, be ok to resort to that if your after a goal with 10 to play but i dont think theres a place at lfc for him, but sayin that he is better then voronin

rafa does like a target man though

cerw crouch hesky ?

I would'nt want him back either!
His best asset is that he is a big physical clumsy nuisance, but he's also a big pussycat!
I dont know where this rumour has came from, but surely Rafa is not really thinking he will be worth signing...hopefully it is JUST a rumour!
He's just not the class of player you want if you wanna win the League.Put it this way if one of our 3 main competetors signed him I'd laugh me nuts off.

I hope its not a sign of things to come and Rafa knows he has no money worth talking about to spend! If thats the case and players of his level are all we can hope for we are surely fu'cked!
