Imagine it! alonso gets injured and weve sold hamann, what would poor old hyppia and carra and hehchoz do with there electrifying pace with nobody in front to put in a tackle or slow the opposition down. keep hamann as he still has an important role to plat tactically....

We must keep both Finnan and Hamman for injuries. Sell 3rd pick players

Hamann should be rewarded with a contract extension and let him stay with us for a couple of years in lieu of his contributions and his effectiveness (for more of the tiem then not), even if he spends the next few years as a squad player.

I shudder to think of a scenario where Alonso gets injured and we only have half baked replacements in Biscan and Diao...

Some real clueless b*st**ds on this board.

Why don't we cash in on Baros, Krikland, Hamann, Henchoz, Traore, Smicer, Diouf, Biscan, Pongolle, Welsh, Warnock, Finnan etc and just have 11 players.

The kids can provide back up.

Get a bloody grip ya bunch of tools.

We need class players, Hamann is still one of our best. Selling one of your best players should be a last resort. It isn't at the moment so don't suggest it. Any fool saying sell him needs to go to a bloody mental health hospital.

Sell ******, not class.

Some bloody people ???

Agree. I always think Hamann is underrated. He is a top class player. There are not many defensive midfielder in EPL is better than him at that position. With him here, Rafa can have more flexibility. Its the same for Finnan. Also, you can't expect our roster to be overhauled in just couple months. It will take times especially with the kind of player we are stuck with. Be patient and I'm sure LFC will not disappoint us this year.

Not only would we not get much for Hamann, but it'd also destroy our squad. We need to be buying in players for back-up, not selling. Hamann and Finan should stay and we should concentrate on getting a striker and centre back in instead.

There will come a day, when we''ll need Didi this season.
He has served the club well and will in the future.

Yes he's older and might not see 90 minutes, but he has nous and I don't beleive you can buy as good a player for the price we'd get for him.  He is an asset to LFC. :)
