Bam, Liverpool like most cities in the UK will have areas that are rundown, its also very easy with a bunch of pictures to give a bad impression of a place.

Were i live alot of the terraced streets like the ones in those pictures are being knocked down and whole ares regenerated to give people more space.

Liverpool is a great city but has its problems just like anywhere else, it certainly isnt all doom and gloom so dont let it stop you visiting us one day.

Cheers Jondoe.

I have been to Anfield on a few occassions, but I've never been around the city itself.

I suppose I just fell into that propaganda type video on youtube and didnt think of the bigger picture. But you, Leon and Supersub  ???  :D  have cleared that up.

Cheers.

It wasn't mate :D I thought it was the glass building above your 1.

I have probably never been so far to the right, I just parked in the multi storey and walked round a bit till I found it.

So where is the Liver building? I though the pic was taken from it ..... presumably it will be to the left somewhere then?

Just an add on to what Leon was saying about the L1 shopping centre, the whole waterfront where the Echo arena has been built are also fantastic now.

I brought me kids over on the ferry about 3 weeks ago, we had a little walk around the albert and kings docks and its absolutely fabulous around there now, the walkway upto the shopping centre is great, i hadnt been down that way in a while and it was like being in a new city, people of the city should definately proud of it.

Have to admit, the new shopping complex and the area as a whole is f*cking awesome. It's really brought the city closer as well - what I mean by that is, the likes of Duke Street sometimes felt miles away from areas such as Concert Square, but walking around Liverpool One you get a great sense of how close together everything actually is.

Btw, did anyone from Liverpool actually get a ticket for the forthcoming EMA's? Considering people from Liverpool were supposed to get priority, not 1 person I have spoken to has been sucessful in the ballot.......  ???
