I could hardly call you that, as you haven't ever ventured an opinion of your own on football to the best of my knowledge. I've heard plenty of stuff about what jobs people do, what their politics are, the nationality of the person who they're married to, where they live, whether their experience at whatever level is relevant etc etc, but aside from one recollection of abject bravery under duress whilst sustaining a hamstring injury, I don't recall a single football opinion of note.

The Kuyt defence is a perfect example. You talk of backing him because he wears the shirt and he gives his all. You pretty much insult anyone who doesn't agree with your stance, and yet I don't recall ever reading any insightful comments from you as to why you like him. Unlike the other bloke, who spelled out his stance yesterday in such a way to make me unsure whether or not he is actually just a wind up merchant.

No, you are not in my numpty bin. I'd need to read a football opinion before you'd be joining GYBS.

That's good Mick, funny and clever (no sarcasm)

I never insulted anyone except those that insult Liverpool players (ie peewee).  If asking you what you do for a living to determin how you might know more than the manager is an insult then you might want to develop thicker skin because it is a relevant question. Not to have an opinion because everyone is intitled to that, but to claim to know more than the manager. If a man is telling you how to invest your money turns out to be a plumber, you may well take his advise with a grain of salt. Especially when he claims to know more than the bankers (probably not a good example now considering the financial markets but you get the point)

For the record, Kuyt is average and I never thought anything else. He does enough for the team to warrant my support and most definetly does enough for the team to not get insulted by idiots. It was never about how good he is with me.

Sorry GYBS, I was mistaken. I have no idea what the weather is like in Micks numpty bin

in their defense... arguing Kuyts case must be quite the challenge !

that post just proves the point about people getting attacked for defending kuyt .

I think he would absolutely get credit for it.

I just don't think he'd be heralded the saviour unless he starts contributing much more consistently to our league campaign.

It's a case of you thinking that everyone ignores the good stuff, and everyone else thinking you attach too much significance to the good stuff e.g. the pass to Babel was a good intelligent pass. It wasn't brilliant, he didn't create the chance, he just played the right ball at the right time, which he deserves credit for, but not the sort of hero worship it earns him from you.

No one is heralding a saviour thou , no one is saying its brilliant or he is brilliant or world class or a hero- they are just giving him credit where its deserved . Look through the posts and you will see the people that defend Kuyt also realise he has his limiations ,while also understanding the good he does for the team and is not in fact :censored: or :censored: just adecent prem footballer who am a number of occasions at important times has made a telling contribution . The man utd goal is just one example where he deserves as much credit as does babel and masher - not more or less . same with the liege goal , people slag him of cause it came of his shin or knee or :censored: etc but didnt give them credit for getting in position to get on the end of the cross in the first place to score that important goal.
