No Kazza you aren't in my numpty bin fella, sorry to disappoint. I could hardly call you that, as you haven't ever ventured an opinion of your own on football to the best of my knowledge. I've heard plenty of stuff about what jobs people do, what their politics are, the nationality of the person who they're married to, where they live, whether their experience at whatever level is relevant etc etc, but aside from one recollection of abject bravery under duress whilst sustaining a hamstring injury, I don't recall a single football opinion of note.

The Kuyt defence is a perfect example. You talk of backing him because he wears the shirt and he gives his all. You pretty much insult anyone who doesn't agree with your stance, and yet I don't recall ever reading any insightful comments from you as to why you like him. Unlike the other bloke, who spelled out his stance yesterday in such a way to make me unsure whether or not he is actually just a wind up merchant.

Just because someone disagrees with you mick doesnt make someone a numpty or a wum because they defend someone . You keep slagging off my opinion , makes no odds to me , i wont slag anyones opinion off even if i disagree with it - i will debate my stance and what i feel - if people dont agree with it then thats fine im not going to call them a numpty or insult them because of it . Disagree with my opinion - fine , point out where you think i am wrong fine - Insult me cause of my opinion - stop being a school kid and grow up/

Utterly ridiculous becuase i back up a liverpool player and understand his worth to the club and team and can what he has brought to the club in the time he has been here, while also understanding he has limitations that is ridiculous is it

The good thing about my numpty bin, is it has a lid. Once people are in there and they try to make points, I just put a brick on top of it. You kind of just get this muffled yet unintelligable squeeking, followed by the occasional bang.

In fairness to GYBS i understand his frustrations.
Im not saying Kuyt is a world beater but you know that you will allways get 100% and he does contribute a lot more than he gets credit for.The reality is though that he's a better option than Pennant and until Gerrard is put back on the right he's the best option we have.For the record much as I appreciate Kuyt it drives me mad that Rafa does not put Gerrard on the right and drop him and go with Riera on the left with Masch and Alonso in the centre,that is our best and most balanced M/F by a country mile and should start the majority of our games!
As I said though I understand GYBS giving off cause Kuyt does not deserve the level of abuse he gets,it used to annoy me reading stuff like that as it seems to annoy GYBS!
But dont worry GYBS you soon get immune to OTT critcisms and laugh it off or turn a blind eye!
After all the sh'ite Kuyt has got lately its a nailed on certainty that he gets the winner tomorrow...its just gonna happen!! :laugh:

I think the problem is not that you are defending Kuyt, or your opinion GYBS, but the WAY in which you defended Kuyt and your opinion mate. Taking up silly stances on players etc etc tends to make people think your on a wind up rather than wanting to discuss sensibly.

Just my opinion mate.

It would be karma mate for him to score the winner or a couple of goals (just like last year

) but i bet he would still not get credit for a lot of the anti kuyts.

actually my only problem atm is that while some 'negative posters' seem to criticize certain players (KUYT) and rightly call them craap or sht ... happy clappers more often than not come on and attack the negative posters rather than just try to defend the player and thats when problems start..
in their defense... arguing Kuyts case must be quite the challenge !

I think he would absolutely get credit for it.

I just don't think he'd be heralded the saviour unless he starts contributing much more consistently to our league campaign.

It's a case of you thinking that everyone ignores the good stuff, and everyone else thinking you attach too much significance to the good stuff e.g. the pass to Babel was a good intelligent pass. It wasn't brilliant, he didn't create the chance, he just played the right ball at the right time, which he deserves credit for, but not the sort of hero worship it earns him from you.
