The Rock, I've seen playing live the likes of Maradona, Zidane, Romario, Hugo Sanchez, Butragueño, Aldridge, Ronaldinho, MESSI I can assure I've seen and appreciated more quality than the one you'll ever see in your whole life in America. What do you think, we don't like quality? We all do. Do you think I woudn't like Kuyt to be as clever as Aldo? Of course I'd like. I just don't think the player needs to be insulted.

I'm not asking Kuyt is considered a world class player, I'm not asking not to mention his mistakes, I'm asking not to insult a player who gives it all. And it happens regularly here, I wouldn't have to search much. I'm asking not to highlight everyone of his mistakes with a loudspeaker, and knowing to accept when he does a decent game, which he does .

And while we're at it, I preffer GBYS utter defence of Kuyt rather than hearing a supposed Liverpool fan creaming his pants about Rooney. Even if in the process he makes unrealistic comparisons. At least he's defender a player in red. You coming here and calling happy clappy hippies every one that doesn't insult the player is pathetic. You have talked nothing about football and the little you have is to say Rooney is a great player.

Sometimes its better to just tell the truth and move on than try to live with a lie.

What would be the truth, that Kuyt is not good enough? Ok, say it, but the part about "moving on" where is it? Because I don't see some people saying a truth and moving on, I see some people insulting Kuyt every week, is that moving on?

We all would like to have the better players as possible, and we all see (most of us anyway) that Kuyt is far from perfect and even he's not what we need. If people just said opinions like that nobody would be angry.

Don't you think we have said everything that needs to be said by now Sabre. No one is going to change their position, the ones that think he is great wont accept that hard work doesn't always compensate for ability, the ones that think he is good enough for the squad but not as a regular first teamer are stuck in the middle and then you have those that think he should be sold or at the very least dropped.

Better to just give an opinion and then move on rather than go round and round the fkn houses while everyone gets more and more silly.

S@int, I don't want people changing his footie opinions, trying to convince somebody is difficult and beyond my will.

What we should agree is to treat Kuyt with a bit more of respect. It's not that complicated, you and bigmick for instance, give stick to the lad's game, but you don't lack respect to the player. Is to ask the same behaviour to others too much?

The Rock, how does that feel? I stopped caring and counting the 3rd time you told me that

Well i must be the oldest hippie an i agree with Sabre on this one show some respect to our players an manager. Its ok havin a go at a player or the manager but its the same players getting slated by the same posters week in week out.

I can understand some dont like Kuyt or Babel or even Rafa an its ok to have a moan. But to constantly pick fault an have ago even when theve played ok is out of order.

I know this is an internet disscussion forum where everyone has an opinion an will argue the toss over whos better than who but its turning into a pantomine Yes he did no he didnt.

Just support the players while there wearing the shirt like

It is funny how some posters are hiding behind airing their opinion as an excuse to insult Liverpool players week in and week out. This whole thing is about not insulting Liverpool players and not whether Kuyt is a good player.

May just be me, but I don't understand how people don't make the distinction between supporting the team (i.e. going to the game and singing your heart out) and being critical on a messageboard on the internet.

The two are not mutually exclusive, you can do both!!

The only time being critical on this board will impact on the team is if the players and manager read it! What chance?!

If somebody goes to the game and for 90 minutes shouting at Kuyt how :censored:

they think he is, then there's a case for telling them to "get behind the team" - the sad part is I doubt anyone would say that in those circumstances, when it actually has some relevance!

But on an internet messageboard? I don't agree that it's relevant personally.

Funny thing is we got Mascha and Utd got Tevez. We really needed a creative second striker and Utd really needed a ball winning CM.

i wonder if i bothered to traipse back through the forum whether i could find certain posters slating liverpool players such as diouf, diao, cisse et al whilst now saying its the lowest of the low to slate liverpool players while they are wearing the shirt.

i might do this if i lose the will to live and nothing else to do, but i m sure those posters know who they are
