Liverpool supporters had the best reputation for supporting their team through thick and thin. Even opposing players were in awe at the level of support that Liverpool players recieved from their fans. The only players not good enough were the ones that did not put the team first.

Yep spot on kazza , you dont hear any of the stuff said here on the terraces bar the odd person and then they normally get shouted down and told to support the players. On most message boards these days you hardly see people talking about anything positive . Even thought the souness and evans years people were still positive about things . I know the limitations of certain players but i can also see what they bring to the squad and to the team and have seen that rafa is ruthless with people he doesnt rate and so far he hasnt been rpoven wrong on many occasions. Liverpool have to babttle against so much these days - namely the spending power of the other big clubs yet we are constantly up their challenging for trophies , something we never really were with GH,Souness or Evans.

What annoys me most on this forum is that even when I have the good grace and humility to apologise I still get attacked, so if that is the case then I won't bother in the future and I'll be every bit as vile and vulgar to you as you lot are to me.

Well then maybe next time think about what your saying before stating you want liverpool players injured just cause you dont rate them. By saying that you got the reaction which was to be expected . No liverpool fan would ever want any liverpool player injured no matter what .

And after you apologised i didnt attack you at all .

It might make it a more interesting debate if the people who deplore the "cynical culture" actually engaged in football discussion as opposed to desperately trying to get under peoples skin all the time. Rather than decrying someones "lack of support", the fact that they are "not real fans" and the like, why not actually advance a sensible and coherant football argument to back up their "positivity"?

Why not venture an opinion of their own for once? I don't mean an opinion along the lines of Rafa or Van Basten picking Kuyt so therefore it must be right, I mean a sensible and considered opinion of their own. It hasn't got to be a long post, just a few sentences would do. That way we could discuss football, which after all is what most people come on here to do

Agreed, and how about all those who insist on insulting our players and manager, and who make regular contributions such as 'Rafa is a clown', 'Kuyt is a joke', also make worthwhile contributions to the forum.
