The manure result just nails it ......From now on, we shouldn't go into games with the intention of "not losing"...We should go into game with the intention of "winning".... With a midfield and forward line-up we currently possess, it would be a crime to not do so...

Hopefully rafa has "seen" this too. If we can beat manure (who are the top club in europe given the stuff they won last season)...we shouldn't fear any team. I haven't seen any team outplay manure like we did in the last 1 year.

Lets take the game to MARSEILLE and beat them comprehensively....

I have always backed kuyt as well he is type of player i can't fault even if he don't score that much he seems to get the ones that count.

Tonight i hope we just carry the form over from man u game if we do I can't see them beating us.

I hope that RAFA does not go into rotation mode. I only want Gerrard and Torres in if fit to replace Benny and Dirk.

We should win this, but will be no walk in the park. I have been saving my nails for this one!!!!

not too worried about conceding one goal as it only group stages.

1 - 4  :buttrock

Never been a big fan of rotation but this game i have to say i expect major changes to the side..
I have seen marseille play a few times (mainly against weaker sides in the rench league) this season and they havent impressed me at all. Id go for a slightly changed lineup and try to include some of the players who havent been given too much of a chance yet.. afterall even a loss in this fixture shouldnt mean much to us anyways..

                                   Reina

Degen        Carragher          Agger          Dossena

Pennant        Gerrard           Alonso           Riera
(Babel)

                     Keane           Kuyt

Havent seen Degen or Pennant yet this season and i think they both deserve a chance sooner rather than later... especially Pennant since that right hand role seems rather up for grabs at the moment with Kuyt failing to impress there and Torres being out injured (even if he returns i wouldnt expect him to start).
Anyways i think having all of Degen, Dossena, Pennant and Riera on the sided should (on paper) provide us with as much width as we'v seen of a liverpool side in the past few years.. so id happily give it a try in a game like this one.. and that side doesnt look that bad to me anyways.. maybe put Torres in for Kuyt if he's fit...

Like your line up tho i wouldn't start Kuyt put Babel and Keane up front and Pennent on right have Kuyt and Torres on bench just in case.

I doubt degen will start , he might come on as a late substitute though . No point rushing torres back , we have the players to win without him , if he's fit 100% than fair enough he should play but if he's not leave him on the bench
