Depends on the fitness of Torres, Mascherano and Gerrard, although I assume Gerrard must be reasonably fit to have come on against the mancs.
As for Berbatov, he is great in possession but might as well not be on the pitch without possession - as Saturday proved. Not that it has any bearing whatsoever on Liverpool vs Mars A. Funny how much credit Keane gets for working hard etc - to quote Toffeehater "ran back , defended , at time led the line up front his own , pressured their defenders , ran tirelessly . Proud of the lad" Funny how little pride is aimed at Kuyt for doing the same, AND scoring the occaisional goal and creating the important winners.............
Glad to see Kuyt in one person's starting line-up, it might be hard to stick with the side from Saturday that all deserve to start this game. In fact I'd say fook it and do just that, bring Torres on if needed and save him for Stoke or beyond that. The thing with Kuyt is he'll run for 90 mins, work hard and pop up with something late on, while some might think Babel deserves a starting place it is still my view he is most effective off the bench. If he had been on the right wing from the off, then it's very possible he wouldn't have been on the left side of the area to score the winner and probably wouldn't have even been on the pitch as Rafa likes to sub the wide players around the time Babel came on! (funnily enough)
If Mascherano isn't fit then it would have to be straight swap with Gerrard from the side that played the mancs. The side should be buzzing and hopefully will go for all three points to kick us off. I hate us starting our CL campaign away, all too easy to settle for an away draw
