Any notice how wherever Souness manages there are many injuries? There were quite a few when he was in charge of us. Same thing at Blackburn and Newcastle too.
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.

lets face it the mess liverpool is in is down to the fans, getting behind managers that were doing bad jobs. at most other clubs they would have been sacked and moved on,but the people in charge did not want to go against the will of the fans. 18 years is a long time for things to be going wrong yet we have only had 4 managers in that time. look at newcastle if the fans are truly not happy they can get rid of the owners, where as we did nothing much...just a small group doing a little march. the question has to be asked if the liverpool fans are worthy of having billions made available to entertain them...do we actually know what we are looking at.....look how long it took for people to cotton on that kuyt is sh!te, yet for a while he was god on the forums. liverpool fans are good at reacting after its gone completely pear shaped. the next manager will come in and it will be all the same dogs looking for a master to worship. each of these clowns always get 5 years minimum...because of the fans.when people try to make it known they are not happy with the managers, all the dogs step forward to defend their master. i love liverpool fc but wish these dogs would stop barking so loud.

How many trophies has newcastle won in the last 18 years ?

How may have we won - Even Souness and Evans won a trophy .

How long did it take ORN to win a major trophy ?

And what is this mess you are talking about ?

One of the top clubs in europe - Two finals , one win a semi and in the last 16
Consistently in the top 4 of the prem and reaching CL.

Currently Second on goal difference and 6 points clear of the current champions after just beating them ? what mess ?

The european ban reduced our income, Kenny continued with the same team and gained anticipated success, and Souness didnt have the vision of Shanks or Bob.

The club was at fault appointing Souness (and every club thereafter except Rangers) as in my opinion he doesnt have the right character for management.
We had the wrong manager but the club didnt act soon enough so its six of one and half a dozen of the other. Kenny had gone off his nut and the club needed stability but the questionable buying started before Souness with the likes of David Speedy etc..   The club not taking executive decisions to act was demonstrated again with Evans and Houllier.

ManUre´s success had nothing to do with our decline, it was an internal issue. Arsenal were also better than us so we simply werent good enough.

I'm sorry to say that I wrote the thread myself & got most of my stats from Liverweb. It became obvious during the Sky sports game that Souness really struggled with the gist of the segways. He must hurt because he realises that in some part he is to blame for the years of hurt.
