not sure what your definition of the word "need" is, but if it is the same one I use, then I would have to disagree. Really, the only mistake worth pointing out in someone's mock CL squad list (for this years LFC team anyways) is if they accidentally included more than 17 international players. But if it makes you feel better: Spearing, Iriwn, Eccleston (or Kelly). Actually if you want to get nit picky, Ryan Crowther should be included in the squad because he is English, but not LFC trained, and has not been at the club long enough (only bought last summer from stockport) to qualify as a B list player. Plus he is a right winger, and we could always use more of them, especially with El Zhar not making the cut. It doesn't make much sense to leave him out when nobody would be losing a spot by including him since all but 4 of the 8 listed English trained players could just as easily be put on the B list.

And even if we had an entirely new and foriegn academy and had loaned out all our English players, you are still allowed to play in the CL with an entirely foreign trained team, you would just have to play every match with at least one short on the bench.

I think 6 games is not a lot, but in fact a few.
66 games on the other hand, is a lot

a maximum of 13 games...

but the discussion was that we'd only have to deal with only 3 centerbacks for 6 games... he was saying that 6 games is not alot..
i was saying that i wouldnt risk it for 2 games mind you 6...

you do know he can be added if we get through the group stage and this inital squad is just for the first 6 games in the group stage
