What he will give us is a massive wage bill that he is too much of a risk to be worth it!
And a very busy physiotherapist most likely!

His behaviour says a lot about him.He only signed for Newcastle and he was instantly injured for ages, they stood buy him!Now he's demanding megabucks,IMO (and I have no feelings towards Newcastle) he owes them something back!
Not a million miles of what little waster ratbag Kewell done at LFC!

When money comes before football the players head is in the wrong place!!

A massive wage bill?

Sell Voronin who's on 50k a week and theres half his wages covered and you use the rest out of the transfer budget. Not rocket science.

He's a proven goal scored and on today's showing, another striker is a must.

Didnt they openly say they were going to try for him before he signed for Newcastle? Might have been Wigan actually, or both.

But seriously if he is indeed only going to cost a few mill its a bargin.

rafa does not have time to be proud ?

is this the same rafa who left crouch on the bench in the world club final that we lost despite crouch getting us there,is this the same no time to be proud rafa who would rather lose a champions league final than bringing crouch on. is this the same not too proud rafa who left crouch out in the semi finals against chelsea in the champions league last season...the same crouch who we know normally  plays well against chelsea....whats rafa up to i wonder...it makes no sense to me.

I hear what your saying but this season its different. He will do well to keep his job if we dont improve on last season.

there's all sorts of people on here who are crying out for us to win or at least seriously challenge for the premiership title this season, whatever it takes. i'm convinced that a large proportion of these people are the same ones who don't want to sign a striker for 2 or 3 million quid who would without a shadow of a doubt increase the possibility of us doing that.

its true that he's a greedy little fecker but do we want to score more goals this season or not?

The thing is, what's the point?

We already struggle to provide quality service to our existing strikers, let alone buying another.

KARMA=Doesnt want to come back to us choose Newcastle instead to get his England place.

Dropped like a ton of bricks by Capello not in England squad.

Very unfair on Crouch aswell I think he should have been called up.

Expect England not to qualify again.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

if he comes back he will only be asked to play on the right or left wings anyway.

on a serious note, get him back, our priority has to be winning and not worrying about something that happened a few years ago

Id pay a lot more than 2 million for him.  When fit he is still probably the most instinctive finisher in the Premiership. His wages would not be anywhere near the £130k that is being touted if he came back to us
