wants more money to enable him to buy his first choice players like he did last summer and not second choice like it loks like he is going to have to with reira . all the players are out of form including torres gerrard etc only pepe can escape any blame at the moment . luckyly for us kuyt popped up with another crucial goal last night to enable us to get more money which may or may not go towards better players .

yep im with you on that account - shouldnt of spent 20 mil on a striker should of been spent on width

We lack quality, that's the reality. It's old news though, this has been obvious for years.

We have improved but we are carrying too many players or Rafa is trying to put square pegs in round holes.

Benayoun or Kuyt are not wide men, it's not their fault they are ineffective. Rafa needs to sort this out and stop persisting with things that clearly don't work.

Man City are merely a stepping stone. At age 26, SWP will want regular high-level football, especially Champions League football, which he did not see at Chelsea and will not get at Man City.

Sign them both next season.

the same kuyt and babel who helped us to the semi final of the cl last year and same kuyt who helped us get through last night ?

We will see his first look in he didn't play that well no but he only played what ? like 50 mins football for us so far.

Also i like to add he is not a winger never has never will be he is a striker.

Funny how you don't see these things Fo Dne tho you are a self proclaimed exspert on all things football. :eyebrow

Also i think babel is learning the wide postion well that cross that lead to a goal was a step forward in him learning that area(or postion) , things don't happen over night and most learning is done on pitch not the training ground.

Remember his age as well he is young spent most his youth in dutch league (which i don't rate).

He will grow this season into a good player i see it.

He is getting stonger each game and i have seen glimp's of a great player and i promise you he will be setting anfield alight by end of season.
