LIVERPOOL VS STANDARD LIEGE - Champions league qualifier - 2nd leg

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

this is a reality check for us. we are awful. chelski signing robhinio and maybe kaka. scum signing berbatov. and they both already have strong squads. what are we signing ? and we actually think we,ve a chance to win the league ?????? not a chance on the evidence so far this season. those 2 late goals against boro could be very costly, if they gloss over the dreadful performances
shamrock rovers and liverpool are not a matter of life and death to me. they are much more important than that.

We look a lot worse this season compared to the last.  There is only 2 differences, no Masch and the addition of Keane.

Maybe Keane just doesn't gel with the team, sure we need about half a season to really tell if he was right for the team but right now he doesn't look like an improvement.  A 19mil flop is hard to swallow, so I know this post might p!ss a few people off, but no one said he isn't going to be good, but we might be hurting waiting for him...

Babel coming on is definitely changing the game for us .. one small mistake in turning over, but we've had 2 decent attacking moves with him involved.

It sounds like the wrong thing to do, but Keane is not getting a look in - he should move back into the hole so Stevie can bomb on.

we need a player like robinho.  A player who can actually beat a man and do something out of the oridinary.  We pass the ball like a mid table side, no triangles, little one two's, players moving and interchanging.  Its just do the same thing over and over again and hope eventually torres or gerrard do something special.

Seriously, Alonso has been non-existant today apart from 2 passes. Performances like this from him, get me very, very annoyed :(

The whole team isn't playing well, but only Alonso and Kuyt get hammered for it.

Gaps are starting to appear, hopefully they are tiring cos I can't see us scoring otherwise
