Priority ticket scheme - Are there many members in the forum?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby fivecups » Thu Aug 21, 2008 8:45 pm

I've just got on to the Priority Ticket Scheme this season having been on the waiting list since 2004. They seem to have taken on quite a few members this season.

For an OOT like me it's brilliant - possibly better than a season ticket.

I got tickets for the Manc match this morning. There was an hour of pain and anxiety involved but after that - 2 tickets to 304 in the Kop.

I was wondering if there are many forum members who use the PTS?

:)

£55/season. Opportunity to purchase tickets for any home match. There are 5000 tickets and 10,000 members. If you're on the ball you can virtually guarantee tickets for any home game pretty much in the stand of your choice. Deadly!

so i take it you have to be on the waiting list for some time then?

fivecups you said you were on there since 2004 that's 4 years, i don't think that many people would leave once they become a pts member but think i will look in to getting on the list, never know by the time i retire i might get one :D

just being lazy here but does anyone have a link to where i would need to sign up

Know what I'd like to see ? (Mods: take note...)
For those of us for whom it doesn't make sense to buy the PTS ticket annually 'cos we can't get to enough of the games (for me anyway, it costs a fair few quid with flights, taxis, trains, hotels etc.), how about a blog or "trade" section, where, if a season ticket holder - or any ticket holder for that matter - can't make it to a game, then they can offer it to another fan on this forum ?
That way, we're all one big happy family (like the Waltons :p  ) and it keeps the money out of the hands of touts...
Everyone's a winner

I'm sure the club has a policy against this kind of thing but I imagine the will of the masses would pretty much give two fingers to any objection raised

As far as Im aware most people who were on the waiting list for the PTS this season and who got their applications back as soon as they recieved them were successful.

Write to the membership office at the club and ask to be put on the PTS waiting list (you may need a fan card for this - cheap). At the end of June they send out applications - get yours back immediately and you have a good chance of getting in.

Don't think the ticket exchange would work. I go in with a credit card ticket thing now mate, that  you scan and wouldn't want to dish it out to randoms. :D

do you get to keep it running for as long as you keep paying or do you have to re apply every year?

can understand why you wouldn't want to give out your card but i think it could be a good idea for people who get tickets and then are not able to make the game, most of these people would have a normal ticket which could be sent through the post once payment had been recieved

i for one would be looking on there to see if on the off chance someone had one spare

As long as you pay your annual subscription every year you'll remain a PTS member.

Morning folks...
Just heard the club is clamping down on the infrequent visitor to Anfield. I was - and still am - trying to get a ticket through a friend of a friend, but he's come back with this revelation this morning :

I haven't received my new season membership card yet as I didn't return the old one within the specified limit at the end of last season. The club are clamping down on all forms of touting now by changing the system for tickets. Now only a voucher is sent in the post to the card holder a few days before the match. Also this voucher along with the membership card & proof of ID is needed to get the actual ticket from the ticket office

Anybody know anything about this ? If there's a way around it ?

Cheers
