i remember james ruskin, daxy - i was in voodoo pretty much every weekend for most of the nineties, or at least thats what it seems like  :D

never went to any of the other nights people are mentioning but now and again i'd go to the orbit just outside leeds. probably the friendliest and most up for it crowd anywhere and always banging out the hardcore techno. sven vath played nearly every month.

memories, memories...

yeah - love that stuff. i remember i first heard it when i lived on mulgrave street, just by granby street, in the very early nineties. i used to go to granby to get bread and milk and stuff and all the yoof were hanging around their cars with this stuff at full blast on the stereos. i was well into my hardcore techno at the time but hearing all this fu'cked up bassy jungle stuff for the first time blew me away.

what was the name of that toxteth pirate radio station that was playing this stuff all the time?

James Ruskin, wasn't he one of the residents? They had two shit hot resi's at Voodoo. I used to love it when it was at Clear. Clear looks tiny from the outside when you walk around the base of it, but I manged to get lost many a time inside whil under the influence  :alien:  I saw a bloke riding on a dragon there once  :D

Been to a few meself with lads off the ford and that.

Went to kinetic a couple of times with coaches off the nocky and to bowlers about 3 times as well about 10 years ago now.

Then went to hardcore heaven and helterskelter with coaches of the ford about 4 times in the sanctuary.

I also remember going to a few kinetic nights in the north gate, full of kids they were but ok and just round the corner.

Loved the Drome, everyone in Birkenhead there, scousers on the opposite corner on the far side as you went in :D
