He hasn't looked like the buzzing wee Irishman we've seen at Spurs but he's at a new club with new players to get familiar with.  He'll do fine once he starts scoring, he's a slow starter.  The poor blighter has serious pressure on him to perform considering the huge transfer fee.  If he nets 15-20 goals in the league it will be money well spent.

Spending 18 millions on that is ridiculous. With 18 millions you expect a young quick hungry striker with good attitude and winner mentality.

Evans had Heskey
Houllier had Diouf
Now Benitez may have made a similar mistake (which will cost him his manager job eventually?)

load of bollx

Keane will come good but it will take time to gel with torres.
Crouch took something like 12 games or so before he scored so lets give Keane a chance eh. He's an intellegent player that just needs to find his place in this Liverpool side.

Good place to start, compare him with Crouch

I used crouch as an example of how it can take time to get into the swing of things

Using him as an example for comparison, like people use fergie as a template for how Rafa will need seven years to win the league.

Why not mention how many games it took Torres to score?

Using him as an example for comparison, like people use fergie as a template for how Rafa will need seven years to win the league.

People have used Fergie as an example of how it can take a long time to succeed in the league, they haven't used him in direct comparison with Rafa in order to conclude that he should also require 7 years to win the league. Important difference.

Good player, showing glimpses but looks to me like he's trying far to hard at the minute instead of just relaxing. Needs a few goals and a few things to click and he'll be fine.

Definately a good signing, even though the fee was a joke.

im not sayin keane is goning to make as much of an impact as torres did because thats not going to happen.
but if you go back to before we signe torres....the rumor forum when there was speculation about us buying him, loads of people were saying he will be a flop he is a waste of money etc....
all i can say is to keane is give him time. pre season friendlies can show signs but we already know what keane can do in the premiership so im going to wait until then to judge him.

How patronising is that statement? Do new posters need 100 posts before talking any sense?

I know and if you try to have a joke with him or refer to him as lad he goes off on one spitting venom about being patronised, nob jockey.

Its almost as bad when people see there backside because people dont agree with them, tut...

Might have known you'd pipe up, wtf does that even mean? And Owzat if you dont want to be called names then dont attack people for no reason and tell em they should be supporting the bitters, its you that needs to grow up, your on a LFC forum, believe it or not you will meet people from the city. You seem to enjoy posters getting p!ssed off with your childish behavour, like calling Barry, Barny and so on even though many posters have asked you to please stop, are you willing to stop? No,so why should i?

I agree mate.

He looks a little lost at the minute and a bit confused, but he's played some execellent passes and shown good vision on occassions and link up play (which is what we bought him for).

He will definately get there though. Theres no danger of him being a flop thats sure in my mind.

Think he has all the qualities to help get the best out of Torres and I think his ability to turn and play clever and quick one-two's will help us immensely in terms of breaking teams down.
