Midfield is a shamble's, Sammy Lee will give them a rollicking, Dossena isn't impressing me either, Keane hasn't really been given a sniff but his first touch has been poor. Man of the Half has to be Reina.

i am an optimist but that was one of the worst perfomances by liverpool that i have ever seen, looking forward to a different second half perfomance

I am a bit worried for the start of the season. This game is being played at a fast pace, similar to the premiership and we're having a tough time keeping up with it.

I do hope Sammy sorts the lads out before the weekend; hate to have another slow start to the season.

Alonso has taken 4 free-kicks with nothing close to an end-product. He's done nothing else.

not a good performance by us in the first half... sloppy at defending set pieces, not passing and moving well, resorting to hopeful lop passes from the midfield... we're not fluid at all... and we could have been down by 2-0 if not for reina; saved penalty and clawed out a header that hit the post and rebounded on the line...

Have you been watching the game? Torres is the only threat and he is almost getting killed out there as no other player can do nothing. He has won plenty of free kicks in dangerous areas and he is always getting attention from 2 players at least freeing up space for his team mates.

And Alonso is the only quality midfielder out there. He is struggling but his positioning and cool head has been the difference between 0-0 and 2-0 in the first half (and of course Reina with two world class saves)

Why should we even bother what a bias poster has to say , kuyt could have scored a hat trick he'd still be a one for him
