I think Lerner and O'Neill have acted like children over this and I understand why Barry has been so annoyed about the whole situation, for us to agree a fee yesterday but Villa pull the plug because of this 'deadline' is petulant to say the least, allwe had to do was iron out the small details which would have taken a day at least, Villa were desperate to keep Barry and it has showed

        Kean     Torres      Babbel

Know that team could challenge for the EPL

would swap keane and babel around and put kuyt on right instead of babel and use him as an impace sub and rotate kuyt, babel, keane and maybe ngog or nemeth

agreed...

very contradicing reports coming out some sources have claimed that the deal is done 17.5 + steve finnan... some still reporting o'neil pulled the plug because of deadline... if we're really offering 17.5 + finnan they should be biting our hands off deadline or not... it would be a mistake for o'neil to keep an unhappy player when we've met their valuation... barry would be blowing his top off by now...

I never knew he hadnt handed in a transfer request. Why?

Whats would he loose if he had a put one in?

I'm not too sure but they say that barry will get 1-2 million from 'loyalty' fees if the transfer went through without him handing in a transfer request...

f*ck MON right in the ear the despicable little c*nt

Martin Oneil can go :censored: himself let's go and get some wingers.

Definately echo that sentiment.. We've known all along that needed wingers, surely Rafa did too.. Maybe this was all a big smoke screen while people were concentrating on us being bum raped on the price of Barry, they were not taking ant notice of us signig Silva & Ronaldo

See that's what everyone connected with Liverpool, me included, thinks. But truth of the matter is MON has been a right tit over this whole affair and is continuing to be even now. if i was Rafa i would have told him to stick his £18 million where the sun don't shine many moons ago..

But people outside the club are praising MON for sticking to his guns, for not letting liverpool push him about and take their best players as Villa have aspirations of being a top club themselves.. While all along saying he wants Barry to stay. i've heards this so many time recently.. It's utter :censored: if you ask me, he's just been totally awkward the whole time, banning him from training, rejecting our (totally legitimate) bids, fining him..

How can anyone see him as the victor / good guy in this situation ?

I think Rafa should do a Shankly and say he only wanted him for the reserves anyway. :D

seriously though what's £1-2 million when you're earning £50k a week and the transfer request would help push through and finalise a 'dream' move to a club in the champions league and in with a chance at the title?
